(Video; UN: motherofdragons)

(With all of the apologies lately, Daenerys is going to prove to be quite different from the rest. She, for the most part, is looking content, watching something - someone, actually - dipping and diving over her head.)

I was informed that I may acquire wings in time. How might I go about earning them quicker?

(She has long held onto the dream of flight. Now that dream has become a ravenous craving and the young queen longs for it.)

I fall under the control of the Sanguis moon. I had talons, scales, fangs, but sadly I was grounded.

Casualty in war is to be expected. Every good strategist knows that. Warriors know to accept it. There's a saying from a long dead Order from my home world: Through Power, I gain Victory. I think you can appreciate the meaning behind that.

[As for the talk of family... he can relate to her in that regard too.]

Almost all of my family are dead. Having them alive didn't change my fate anymore than it has now that they're gone.

[They had been what pushed him on this path, most particularly Luke. It hurt that both his father and uncle were gone, but he wouldn't let himself think on it longer than he already did. She didn't need to know his sins or the fact that he was tormented by them.]

I've never given much thought to the casualties. My men always feared me from the start. The same goes for my family.

[And he learned to turn that fear into the shell that surrounded him and protected him from anything that would hurt him. His voice is bitter as he continues to speak, his expression hardened just a bit.]

They may have loved me once, but that didn't seem to matter for long. They feared my power and they feared that I was to become a monster. It ended up being a self fulfilling prophecy, I suppose.

People always fear what they don't understand. They fear what we're capable of, what potential we might have and the power that might lie behind it.

[His mouth presses in a thin line once he finishes speaking. The memory of Luke standing over him while he slept, lightsaber drawn, still haunted him.]

There are people who would disagree with that way of thinking... I'm not one of them.

[It was good to be understood. It was good to have someone who could truly see these things as he did. It might even be a good way to keep him distracted from how much he long to stop struggling between the light and the dark.

When he speaks again, it's with some hesitance. He doesn't know that she would be open to the offer still, but then she didn't seem to feel shame in offering him her time in the first place.
]

You mentioned before that you have enough chroma, should you like more... I would like to take you up on your previous offer. I think we could explore what might come of two monsters coming together.

[The idea of not needing to rely on Rey as much was tempting. He still wouldn't let her suffer through her heats, but he didn't want to keep needing her so much either.]

Exactly. Weakness creates vulnerabilities. It can cause us to let our guard down. The man who harmed you... he exploited that sentimentality.

[Luckily Rey had spared his life, but there was still some lingering hurt despite how much he wanted to pretend otherwise. He didn't know how to feel about her. He didn't want to get too close and then watch her walk away again. Daenerys was a safer option. They have no expectations of one another.]

Perhaps next Sanguis moon we could meet face to face? Or sooner if you prefer. Not that I don't mind talking about this on the network, but I'm interested in meeting you more intimately. I won't deny a preference for face to face interaction.

[During the Sanguis moon obviously sex would be involved. Of course they could always do that before but he would be more keyed up during that time. It was either get the frustration out through fighting or sex.]

[He sucks in a breath, knowing all too well how she feels. Rey had done the same, even if she hadn't killed him for it.]

He didn't understand you, then. He didn't trust that you knew what was right. Let me guess, he had others who turned him against you? Or was that his own blindness to what you wanted to build together.

[He had offered Rey an entire galaxy and still she turned her back on him. It still hurt, even if they were trying to be friends now. They hadn't talked about it and he's done his best to push down how much he wants her still. Not even an entire galaxy could fill that void.]

Mm. That's true.

[He smirks a bit, just the smallest hint of humor in the features of a man who almost never smiled. She was right, of course. He could barely think straight during Sanguis, forget the triple moon when Rey was in heat. It was like drowning in an ocean of need and passion. No, she was right. They would want to think clearly for this.]

I would be interested to see your wings another time, whenever you get them.

If you don't kill them, I'd be happy to do you the favor. Though, you strike me as someone who isn't afraid of exacting justice when it's warranted. What they did to you wasn't justice. They decided on their own who you were. They made the choice for you.

[Her anger and her pain were so familiar to him that it makes his expression darken along with her own. Her story about her father, and the comparisons people undoubtedly made of the two of them, reminded him of himself. It had hurt, remembering the times his parents would whisper behind closed doors about him. He knew now it was because they thought he was like his grandfather.

It was the successful attempt on her life that makes him the most bitter. Luke hadn't been able to go through with it, but the damage it caused was far worse than if he had just killed him in cold blood. He would never forget the lesson that night had taught him.
]

I am free, if you'd like the company. I want to hear more about your home. Maybe we don't have to talk about the people who betrayed your trust - we could talk about other things if you want. Or we don't have to talk at all.

[The insinuation is there, plain as day. He sends her his location.]
