[Good morning Lunatia. It's one of your resident sword spirits turned not quite human gracing the screen. In hand, he holds what appears to be an egg. A very ethereal, very shiny, beautifully grey egg.]

I seem to have laid an egg. With all the other changes and strange things that happen to our bodies here I suppose it really was only a matter of time until something like this were to happen.

Now the only question is what to do with it. You see I don't have much experience with taking care of an egg. I don't believe it would be to its benefit if I were to sit on it. Nor am I aware of any nutritional needs before hatching. Do they need to be bathed regularly or rocked to sleep at night? This is why I'm turning to all of you. I'm not sure what sort of care it might need or if I'm even ready for this kind of responsibility. But I assure you I'm very committed to his or her well being.

[He turns now, revealing a companion who was just out of view until now.]

Oh yes. We're also taking suggestions for names.

Terrible. [The way he smiles up at Daihannya is anything but.] And who will be making them?

We do seem to be lacking people talented in the kitchen. [Setting his cup down, he trails his fingers through Mikazuki's hair.] We should probably fix that.

[Mikazuki hums. Whether in thought or in appreciation of the attention is hard to say.]

Not the only place that needs attention. And not the time to do anything about either I would say.

A shame one of my brothers isn't here. He would enjoy the kitchen.

[Daihannya doesn't mind it certainly.]

What would you say to some take out then? I might always be hungry but I feel you could use some breakfast too.

[Ah Shokudaikiri. Azuki. They've said it before. They'll say it again. Not a day goes by that he doesn't wish for one of them to come by and save them from with a meal from home. But what Daihannya is promising doesn't sounds so bad when it puts it like that.]

And here I am thinking you had plans to make a meal of me. [The smile turns to a smirk] I suppose I couldn't refuse an appetizer to start. I'll leave it up to you to surprise me.

[It's a test of course, as always. For Daihannya to figure out what the fickle sword is in the mood for.]

Well, I certainly could do that. But you should eat as well.

[Leaning down, he tilts the other sword's head back so he can press a kiss to his lips, his bare fingers lightly brushing along his chin.]

What would you like to eat?
