[ after an embarrassingly long time spent figuring out the functions of the communication bracelet - look, it's a lot to take in all in one go - wei wuxian types out a message that's equal parts honest inquiry and throwing things on a wall to see what sticks. ]
my respectful salute to everyone reading this. my name is wei wuxian, from the yunmeng jiang sect. i have some questions and a request, if it pleases.
[ okay, the manners part is done. wei wuxian can now go wild. ]
from what i've been told, moonlacing is the practice of creating chroma. it requires at least two willing participants, and physical contact is involved.
how much contact is needed? would exposed skin touching covered skin work? how long does one need to be in contact with their moonlacing partner in order to succeed in creating chroma, what's the bare minimum? how exactly is it stored, and can you learn how moonlacing is done? has anyone succeeded in moonlacing by themselves? are there limitations to moonlacing? does it still work if your partner is unconscious, or otherwise unable to participate due to injury or some other misfortune? how quickly can you lose chroma, what's the quickest that anyone's ever drained their reserves?
i have so many questions!
anyway, my request is this: would anyone be willing to help me test the answers to these questions by moonlacing with me? i'll be more than grateful for the help!
thank you for your time!

it's an interesting set-up!

Perhaps you could find someone you trust to try things out with? I suppose I could offer help myself, to a certain degree, but - oh, sparring can also generate chroma! So if you'd like to test that, I'm always happy to oblige.

then chroma is innate to us, and we're only releasing it through contact? i'm curious now, how did anyone discover that it can be done at all?where can i find records about it, if there are any?
ah, all that aside - i'll gladly spar with you! by hand or by sword, or if you have a weapon you prefer than i can learn it too. do you have a preference?

Swords are just fine. I have some experience with a variety of different weapons, but swords are admittedly my weapon of choice. Perhaps we could even exchange some pointers!
[He's a centuries-old battle junkie, who needs sexy harems for moonlacing when you can collect sparring partners instead!]

if i could just learn everything in one night...!
[he's not studious by any means, but give wei wuxian something that catches his interest, and he's relentless. this is no different.]
i have my sword with me. if it pleases, i would gladly spar at the soonest that's convenient for the both of us.

I'm available every morning, if you can reach the park early enough! Otherwise, we could always meet on the weekend.

[every morning... why... wei wuxian groans out loud as he touches his face with his hand.]
how early in the morning? please don't say five in the morning, that's so early!

[Just imagine, running into a total stranger who mistakes you for yourself!]
Is five too early? I have work at eight, most days...would you prefer an evening spar instead?
