[ after an embarrassingly long time spent figuring out the functions of the communication bracelet - look, it's a lot to take in all in one go - wei wuxian types out a message that's equal parts honest inquiry and throwing things on a wall to see what sticks. ]
my respectful salute to everyone reading this. my name is wei wuxian, from the yunmeng jiang sect. i have some questions and a request, if it pleases.
[ okay, the manners part is done. wei wuxian can now go wild. ]
from what i've been told, moonlacing is the practice of creating chroma. it requires at least two willing participants, and physical contact is involved.
how much contact is needed? would exposed skin touching covered skin work? how long does one need to be in contact with their moonlacing partner in order to succeed in creating chroma, what's the bare minimum? how exactly is it stored, and can you learn how moonlacing is done? has anyone succeeded in moonlacing by themselves? are there limitations to moonlacing? does it still work if your partner is unconscious, or otherwise unable to participate due to injury or some other misfortune? how quickly can you lose chroma, what's the quickest that anyone's ever drained their reserves?
i have so many questions!
anyway, my request is this: would anyone be willing to help me test the answers to these questions by moonlacing with me? i'll be more than grateful for the help!
thank you for your time!

[ The mere idea of having the one person whom he's close enough to even ask playing spectator to him sleeping with someone else, even in literal terms, makes Binghe feel things he can't put into words. ]
Neither of us know each other. That's equal enough.
If you want someone else to watch, then that's too strange for me to agree to.
[ Also, the only places he knows that cater to temporary privacy are the type that charge by the hour. Binghe has never visited a brothel or love hotel and doesn't plan on changing that now, whomever his company may be. ]
My place is as good as any. I live alone, so we won't be in anyone's way.
[ Why does this sound more salacious than it is? Essentially it's a moonlacing transaction at its bare bones, nothing more. So Binghe gives his apartment number and address before this person starts suggesting things that only make this sound even more like some illicit tryst. ]

not even uncle jiang would be so forgiving for the kind of shame that would bring.]
thank you for accommodating me. i'll be there soon! ah, would you like for me to bring anything? as my thanks! it's the least i could do.
Moves to action in your log, if that works for you~!
[ This Weiwuxian person seems like a hyper-energetic handful even through text, but it's not like he's any burden to Binghe. ]
You can bring anything you'd like, but I don't expect something in return.
Bedding, if you want to. That way you're comfortable.
