Hey! This is Max, though probably most of you don't know me. I've been kind of a lurker on here for the most part. But I wanted to ask a question of my own, if everyone's cool with that.

So here goes, I guess:

I know some of us seem to have some powers during our particular moon phase, but I wanted to talk about possible powers you guys might have had before coming here? Back in your own world.

Specifically though, I'm interested in knowing if anyone has any experience with manipulating time, and any possible consequences you know of that came with using that power. First-hand experience or otherwise, either would be useful.

Back with my crew, we had a wizard show up round every Halloween. He usually owed money to the mafia. Or the yakuza. Think it was yakuza the last time.

just a sci-fi nerd. I'm curious if powers like that actually exist in anyone's world.

[That's not totally a lie. Just a lie by omission. Of course, she doesn't even know if she still has her powers, so maybe keeping them hidden isn't even necessary, but considering what the consequences of them ended up being... She just doesn't want to admit to anyone yet she might have caused the destruction of an entire town.]

Oh, lotsa kinds. Invisibility, fireballs, making the fella in front of you tiny... Merasmus has a knack for coming up with a lot of magic-based schemes around every Halloween, when he owes money to some criminal organization or the other. Almost a tradition now.

Well. I can't say anything for sure about time, but I don't see why it couldn't. We figured out teleportation where I come from. That's more science than magic, though.

Merasmus is a hella cool name for a wizard. If he had all those powers though, you'd think he could manage to avoid being in debt to criminal organizations somehow.

I mean around here there doesn't seem to be a lot of difference between the two. And science is kind of like an explanation for magic anyway, right? Anything can seem like magic until you know how it works.

As a scientist, I feel like I oughta be more offended by that. You're ain't wrong, though. [He's kidding, but.] I'm still working out this whole Chroma thing. Teleportation's pure science, though.

lol I just mean that even making fire seemed like magic at one point in history, right? But it really is just science. This Chroma thing could be the same, and so could time travel.

I tried to study up on it, and a lot of other stuff about time travel too, but I'm still not sure I can wrap my brain around it all. I'm definitely not a scientist.

I had a friend back home who was pretty into it. he was way smarter than me, though.
