Hey! This is Max, though probably most of you don't know me. I've been kind of a lurker on here for the most part. But I wanted to ask a question of my own, if everyone's cool with that.

So here goes, I guess:

I know some of us seem to have some powers during our particular moon phase, but I wanted to talk about possible powers you guys might have had before coming here? Back in your own world.

Specifically though, I'm interested in knowing if anyone has any experience with manipulating time, and any possible consequences you know of that came with using that power. First-hand experience or otherwise, either would be useful.

Thanks!

yes, they were actual demons.

sorry, that sounds too academic for me, i don't know anything about abstract or theoretical magic. there's spells that can affect the weather, i could cast a storm in a local area and enough mages together with enough lyrium might be able to extend one over a city, but i wouldn't know how "time travel" would connect to that.

philosophical question for the ages. in my experience the real consequences come from seeking power, not from the act of magic itself. the demons aren't that big a problem if you know what you're doing and don't listen to their offers, it's just that they're clever enough to target the desperate and the mad often enough that the problem seems worse than it is.

[ as far as Hawke knows, this is a huge long shot, but "asking for a friend" and "I read it in a book" are kinda obvious lines, so: ]

if you know someone who's struggling with their magic, let them know i'd be happy to help however i can. it can be a frightening thing to deal with alone, and i'm good at keeping secrets. no pressure.
