Great! [Sora seems pretty proud that Roxas accepted his request for a sleep over. That gives them a lot of time to catch up.]

So let's take a look at those pictures and you can tell me everything.

[He moves to go sit down so they can get comfortable and talk.]

[ Roxas goes to collect some of the pictures he's strung up along his room's wall using a string of soft blue colored lights he discovered in town the other day. He's still not sure if he wants to use it as a permanent display but it keeps the photographs safe for now. He selects a few from the beach trip (Axel and his ridiculous pizza stack, Xion holding up a phallic-shaped shell, Aqua showcasing her cupcakes, Riku's sandcastle, even a candid shot of Naminé quietly watching the waves), one of the pictures he took of Kairi in front of the Greatmoon Groves flowers during his first week, several of young Geistnacht celebrants in their festive costumes, a shot of Hunk's enormous feast, and one or two from Ayla's celebration in Lunatia Square.

It's a decent handful of photographs he returns with and offers to Sora. ]

You missed the beach trip.

I heard! [He looks so disappointed about this.] Riku said you guys got rained out?

[Once Roxas is sitting next to him, Sora gets really close and leans gently against him. He's used to being very affectionate here, always finding ways to generate more Chroma, but if Roxas seems uncomfortable with it he'll scoot away.]

[ Roxas is ready to shrug off the comment until he sees Sora's pitiful expression. It makes him wonder if that's how he looked every time his beach plans went awry with the Twilight Town crew. Even though he knows that his obsession with the beach was about more than just his connection to Sora. ]

Eventually. We got a few hours though. Kairi showed me some swimming techniques. I'll have to show you when it gets warmer again.

[ He starts slightly when Sora leans against him, mostly out of surprise. Or maybe because of the co-mingling feelings it brings. Flashes of his times with Axel and Xion on the clock tower for sure. But also something unique. A sense of calming wholeness that only being this close to his Other can bring. Just like that time he allowed himself to return to him, only so much stronger now that the feeling can last beyond a single moment that seemed to stretch out to forever.

After the initial rush, he feels himself relaxing against, adjusting to the new twist on the old feeling. He even manages a light breath of laughter. ]

Is this something else you've thought about?

[The thought of Kairi teaching Roxas makes Sora's heart feel impossibly warm. Someone he loves so dearly walking Roxas through something new just feels so good and right. He really wishes he had been there to see it, even though there's some part of his mind that points out that it's not as if he's really there back home either.

He doesn't want to dwell on that though, so instead, he just relaxes against Roxas and enjoys how perfect being able to touch him is.]

Which part? The swimming part or the leaning against you part?

I'll let you guess.

I've thought about doing a lot more with you than just leaning.

[He admits after a moment, blush creeping into his face as he speaks.]

[ That actually leaves Roxas in mute shock. He's no longer ignorant to how this place works, to how most people get their Chroma fix via various exchanges of intimacy. He's done his research since his initial talks with Kairi and Xion. He just never figured those things would come up in regards to himself. At least not for a while. (Aside from the occasional urges that Sanguis brought. Things like wondering how it would feel to nip at Axel's ear or his neck.)

But he definitely didn't expect it to come from Sora. Or for it to be something Sora had actually considered before.

His own surprised flush makes its way across his skin. He can't even manage his usual twenty questions response. Instead, a single words stumbles from his lips. ]

W-What?

[Sora chuckles softly at how that flush makes Roxas seem so cute. He also manages to look properly embarrassed.]

Well, to be fair, I never really thought a lot about any of that stuff before I ended up on this world, but since coming here. Yeah, part of the reason I wanted you to be here too was because I was hoping you'd be okay with that stuff.

But, I mean, if you're not that's totally cool too! I just want to be your friend, Roxas, whatever way that makes you the most comfortable.

[ Roxas toys with one of his monochromatic rings. Is he okay with that stuff? He has no idea. He's only just really gotten the hang of hugs and mostly due to situations that required comfort and reassurance. Less so the out-of-nowhere affectionate kind that Sora and Ventus (and even Xion now) seem to manage so freely. How had Xion slipped into all this so easily? The most he's managed so far is a little cuddling with Axel amid the pull of Sanguis. And that was still half-sparring.

All he knows is that being this close to Sora feels like nothing else he's ever felt before. It's already so intense that it's hard to imagine what would happen if that feeling was taken to another level. Hard to imagine but also... intriguing in its own way.

He keeps his gaze on his ring. ]

... I've never done any of it. Cuddling, kissing, sex or any of the other things people like to do here. I know they're just more powerful forms of connection, but it all seems... strange.

[ He slowly brings his eyes up to Sora again. They hold that fierce burning curiosity that has always driven him to wonder, to question, to challenge. His need for answers has matured greatly from the days when the questions were about laughter or friendship, but it's no less demanding. ]

But with you... it might be different.

[ Because what could be more natural than being with his Other. Is this how Vanitas and Ventus felt around each other? ]

[When Roxas looks at him with that expression, Sora finds it hard to breathe for a moment. He's taken in by how intense and beautiful Roxas was. It was probably a little vain to think of his Other as beautiful, but Sora was even more certain now that Roxas wasn't just a copy of him or of Ven. He was his own person, and that person could be appreciated without all of the baggage of his connections to others.]

I don't want to do anything you aren't 100% sure about. [He says after he's able to recover from his attraction to Roxas.

He offers his Other a reassuring smile.]

I am here for you to learn about that stuff, if you need it. I've learned a lot while I've been here and while I know I still have a lot to learn, it would mean a lot to me if you trusted me with sharing what I know with you.

But, it would mean just as much if all we ever did was play games or watch a movie or, I don't know, ate ice cream together or whatever else you want to do.

Your desires matter, Roxas. Whatever you need, I'm here for you.

[ Roxas feels a little self-conscious from Sora's reaction, which he's only ever really felt when he realized he was missing some vital piece of information in a conversation. But this isn't like that. It's more he's surprised as to the effect he seems to have on his Other. Then again, Sora is having a powerful effect on him so maybe that's just another thing they share.

He moves his hand away from his ring. ]

I don't mind learning. More than anything, I just want to learn more about you. I have since the first time I heard your name.

[ That probably sounded way cheesy, even to someone like Sora. But he can't pretend it's not true. Even when it was little more than a breath from Xemnas on that dark beach, he'd still felt that intrinsic pull to that name. ]

And not through borrowed memories this time.

So if sharing things means getting to know you better, I want to see what you have to share.

[ He gives Sora a slight grin. ]

The ice cream thing though, that's definitely going to happen.

Totally! Lea and Xion can't hog all of your ice cream time. [Sora says with surprising determination. He balls his fist in a playful sort of way.]

You know... There were a couple of times after that dream that I got some of your memories. Flashes more than anything. Ice cream was one of them.

I've wanted to share that with you ever since then.

I just keep thinking of all of the things I want to do with you.

Well, it was kind of important for a while...

[ Roxas rubs a bit at the back of his hair. ]

I guess it still is. But in a different way. That's why I want to share it with everyone.

[ He smirks at Sora's enthusiasm. ]

You know, though, if you're going to teach me things, there should be something I can teach you too.

Hmmm. Well, you had that week in Twilight Town. Did you learn anything cool while you were there?

I was pretty good at skateboarding. And that Grandstand game. But you'd probably enjoy the skateboarding more. I used to do jobs with it.

Oh hey! I loved doing that there!

Did you ever have to deliver a letter to a pigeon? That was really weird.

You skated too?

[ The disappointment in his voice is obvious, as he pulls back a bit. The one thing he thought he could show Sora. Why couldn't their shared memories have revealed that fact sooner? But of course everything about Twilight Town is still a jumbled mess. Beyond Hayner, Pence and Olette.

He slumps more into the back of the couch, with a sigh. No point in sulking about it now. Maybe they can at least learn some new tricks here. ]

Yeah, I had to learn a new grinding flip combo to reach it in time. Otherwise, I wouldn't get as much munny. And we needed a lot to go to the beach.

[Sora notices the slump and worries a bit. He hadn't meant to disappoint Roxas like that.]

You... you weren't able to make it to the beach though, were you?

Not that time.

[ He pauses for a moment, recollecting how badly the day had gone after he spent most of it doing every odd job he could find. He'd been so close and then...

He turns to Sora. ]

I think Riku stole my munny.

[ The guy had been taller than Riku, sure. But hadn't he seen Riku transform into... one of the Xehanorts, right? During their fight in The World that Never Was? That's how he ended up under DiZ's machinations. And Riku was the only non-member who ever managed to secure a coat so it had to have been him. It's kind of weird to think about.

Though his statement is one of surprised realization rather than annoyance. ]

He did what? [Sora asks, shocked by the idea. Roxas might be more surprised than annoyed, but Sora still wants answers.

He takes out his phone and writes a quick text to Riku, asking if it's true.]

What are you doing?

[ Roxas reaches for the gummi phone, flustered at the immediacy of Sora's reaction. ]

I can talk to him about it. It was when you were still sleeping.

[Sora chuckles and moves his hand to get the gummiphone out of Roxas's reach. If he really wants to grab it, he'll have to get even closer.]

Well if he did he needs to pay you back! I'm just checking!

[ Roxas' innate stubbornness kicks in, as he goes for the phone again, paying no heed to how much he has to lean against Sora to reach it. ]

I can handle it!

[He reaches back, guiding Roxas to basically be pressed up against his chest. He gives the phone over when they're close enough that Sora could kiss him, though.

And then he does - a quick peck on Roxas's cheek.]
