[ His username was... unfortunate. It was a decision he hadn't made for himself but one he was forced to use regardless of how he felt about it. If Stark was here then it would all make sense. ]

I've spoken with half a dozen Prismals and counting, yet none can tell me the following with any certainty.

- Why they can't produce Chroma for themselves.
- Why those brought from outside Prismatica can.
- How Moonlacing functions at its core.

If anyone else, perhaps not a local, has information please share it.

[ Stephen would ask for those who know him to come forward but those that do, will. ]

As to what I've read here:

- What physical changes have Moonblessed experienced?
- What is undeath?
- What are the age ranges of Moonblessed?
- Are Moonblessed really losing their genitalia?

[ There are more questions but Stephen's already 😑 concerned with a lot of what he's seen. ]

[ ooc: I'll have Stephen available for any event thing and his ooc intro post is over here if anyone wants to plot! ]

You would not be the first to hit that sort of wall when discussing our predicament with the Prismals. I spoke with at least two other Moonblessed and we discussed the possibility of some sort of magic interfering with the memories of the calamity's survivors. Otherwise, some decent information would have survived.

I've certainly not met any Moonblessed under the age of sixteen or seventeen. Most of the physical changes involve taking on the features of some manner of beast; I've had rabbit ears my first two months here, but I find that that recently, I've started glowing in odd places instead.

It depends.

I wouldn't know anything about losing genitalia.

There's a few of us undead here, but if you'd like the details, I'm going to be here all week! But the long and short of it is: an undead being is any creature or person that is physically dead, but still animate, with "undeath" simply being the term used to refer to this state of being.

Your basic undead is something like a zombie or animated skeleton, which has movement but lacks a will of its own or capacity to reason. They're mostly used as the servants of some sort of greater entity, but they're actually rather harmless if currently following orders that you're not in the way of.

Ghouls, ghasts, and wights? Ravenous fiends. Very hungry, very brutal. Capable of making more of their kind. Technically capable of conversation, if only to try to convince you that you only need one of your arms. Do not ever attempt to summon these unless you're either very desperate or know what you're doing. (You probably do not. I certainly don't know what I'd do.)

Most corporeal undead are similarly mindless, but exceptions do occur. Incorporeal undead, ghosts and the like? Nearly always intelligent. Intelligent corporeal undead have a few different forms they can take, I can go more into detail on those if you'd like.

As far as intelligent undead go, each one is different. Like a beautiful, cadaverous snowflake.

[ SORRY BRO, but as the resident necromancer who is also a goddamned lich, she knows Her Shit. ]

1. It is as I said. I believe that the Prismals have had their memories manipulated by an as of yet unknown force.

2. I fall under the domain of the Iris moon. Plenty of us take in jellyfish features, so I suppose the glowing isn't too unusual.

3. I have not seen any undead Prismals, but some among the Moonblessed happened to have been undead before arriving here. I myself am a lich; I believe most of the other relevant Moonblessed are vampires.

4. Necromancer. Comes with the territory.

Still dead physically, I'm afraid. Or undead. Whatever have you. I can still use my magic here, but there are some things the powers that be have stripped me of the ability to do.

The changes that I happen to experience are not painful but ask any Iris-blessed and they'll tell you about the monthly fever, as I've seen one person call it.

Depends; I can only answer for my own particular brand of undeath. A vampire, for instance, has an entirely different experience, but all undead are driven by some sort of compulsion.

A lich, being a wizard who achieved undeath through ritualistic means, is driven to continuously acquire secrets and other knowledge.

You do not sleep. You do not sweat, or breathe, or do anything else required for life. You can eat, I suppose, but there's not any real reason to. You can feel pain and pleasure, but without the heart racing and other attendant effects.

All a little much to get used to.

I believe everyone with magic requires Chroma to use it.

If you are of a more bashful disposition, I suppose I could answer questions regarding the monthly fever in private.

A few months. No regrets on it so far, but I have centuries to come for that.

I needed to buy enough time to start planning a scheme that would take decades, if not centuries, to unfold, and when you're a human of delicate constitution, that's simply time you don't have. I can't give you the specifics because I'm quite literally still in the stage where I'd need to think of what options I have.

Rooting out demonic cults is a tricky business.

As for the monthly fever.

I assume you have seen the undignified desperation of an animal in heat.
