[ His username was... unfortunate. It was a decision he hadn't made for himself but one he was forced to use regardless of how he felt about it. If Stark was here then it would all make sense. ]
I've spoken with half a dozen Prismals and counting, yet none can tell me the following with any certainty.
- Why they can't produce Chroma for themselves.
- Why those brought from outside Prismatica can.
- How Moonlacing functions at its core.
If anyone else, perhaps not a local, has information please share it.
[ Stephen would ask for those who know him to come forward but those that do, will. ]
As to what I've read here:
- What physical changes have Moonblessed experienced?
- What is undeath?
- What are the age ranges of Moonblessed?
- Are Moonblessed really losing their genitalia?
[ There are more questions but Stephen's already 😑 concerned with a lot of what he's seen. ]
[ ooc: I'll have Stephen available for any event thing and his ooc intro post is over here if anyone wants to plot! ]

Multiple times.
I'm very concerned about the physical changes thing myself. Undead... Appear to vary by world, where I'm from it usually involves necromancy, horrible death circumstances, or undead creating more undead. They tend to be very hungry, and easily as vicious as any demon.
Haven't seen anyone younger than a teen yet, but limited sample and I'd bet that if there are kids among us, the government's moving in fast to take care of them. They seem the sort to actively try to step in for that sorta thing.
... That last one is absolutely terrifying to think about, and I've heard nothing there and hope that one's fake.

What concerns you about it?
Cannibalism or something else? Zombies, even, if that's a term that exists in your world.
Then they have some line of morality or they wouldn't care about children that aren't theirs. It's not much comfort, given our circumstances, but it is something.
I was combing through and another Moonblessed claimed to have lost their genitalia. If it's a side effect any of us could experience we should know about it.
no subject
Cannibalism, yes zombies, and things like Bodaks create more Bodaks if they kill with their gaze.
I think I'd rather know if they were rescuing kids, or if kids just weren't showing up in the first place. Though that does leave the question of what's pulling us her being intelligent enough to discern age.
I'm just not going to think too hard about that last one.

Antlers, a tail, bat wings, and pointy teeth?
I'm under Iris and haven't experienced any of that. Is it specific to you, do you know?
Do you have those physical changes now?
I'll share them with you when I get them.

As for changes, I have gained cat ears and a tail.
Undeath sounds like something from a horror story.
I'm 23.
Definitely not. But, I suppose you could if you have traits of an animal that has something else going on.

Sex, in my universe, is more a sharing of energy than an exchange. It's for pleasure and procreation rather than what you've detailed.
They explained Moonlacing as one gaining energy from intimate contact. It would stand to reason that both participants would receive and then this Chroma that's created is their currency, isn't it?
Do you gain those changes during the moon phase as well?
It does.
Then it's part of being a Moonblessed?

for the most part it's temporary, but it is occasionally permanent
it's a common hazard of insufficient or barely sufficient moonlacing
no subject
I'm collecting data from as many reliable resources as I can find.
Then physical changes are tied to moonlacing and being a moonblessed?
Is that not common knowledge?
un: undyingsoul
I've certainly not met any Moonblessed under the age of sixteen or seventeen. Most of the physical changes involve taking on the features of some manner of beast; I've had rabbit ears my first two months here, but I find that that recently, I've started glowing in odd places instead.
It depends.
I wouldn't know anything about losing genitalia.
There's a few of us undead here, but if you'd like the details, I'm going to be here all week! But the long and short of it is: an undead being is any creature or person that is physically dead, but still animate, with "undeath" simply being the term used to refer to this state of being.
Your basic undead is something like a zombie or animated skeleton, which has movement but lacks a will of its own or capacity to reason. They're mostly used as the servants of some sort of greater entity, but they're actually rather harmless if currently following orders that you're not in the way of.
Ghouls, ghasts, and wights? Ravenous fiends. Very hungry, very brutal. Capable of making more of their kind. Technically capable of conversation, if only to try to convince you that you only need one of your arms. Do not ever attempt to summon these unless you're either very desperate or know what you're doing. (You probably do not. I certainly don't know what I'd do.)
Most corporeal undead are similarly mindless, but exceptions do occur. Incorporeal undead, ghosts and the like? Nearly always intelligent. Intelligent corporeal undead have a few different forms they can take, I can go more into detail on those if you'd like.
As far as intelligent undead go, each one is different. Like a beautiful, cadaverous snowflake.
[ SORRY BRO, but as the resident necromancer who is also a goddamned lich, she knows Her Shit. ]
no subject
What moon are you under? Would you tell me more of the glowing?
The term undeath isn't widely used in my universe and I wanted to be certain what it meant after reading it. Do they exist here?
You know a lot about the undead. A hobby or career?
That's a poetic picture you've painted but I don't know that I'd like to meet a horde of ravenous cadaverous snowflakes any time soon.
[ LMAO it's perfect. so much info for stephen. ]

1. I've gotten rabbit ears and a tail during the Iris moon cycle. That's usually what I get, but last month, nothing happened to me. This month, I got wings on top of everything. Does electric magic count as a physical change?
2. I'm 17. I know people close to my age, and people who are much older.
3. I didn't lose anything myself, but I can't speak for everyone else.
no subject
I'd say anything you can do now, the electric magic, and the rabbit ears, tail, and wings, all count as physical changes. At the very least, changes, since the former could be considered spiritual. Either way, however you label it, you changed during the Iris moon cycle. What could your magic do?
We've a couple decades between us. Are there many your age? Many my age while we're on the topic?

but i'll answer your other questions:
1. i was cordis for awhile and had some cat furry shit going on and then somehow all of my chroma got sapped and now i'm sanguis so i grow horns and my hair turns into wool i'd hate it if my bf didn't braid it for me
2. are you talking about people getting revived because i can speak to that
3. teens to dracula
4. i dont know?? i heard someone growing a second dick tho. oh god this is a serious concern i'd be kinda pissed if i woke up without my junk
no subject
That sums up everything.
If you lose all your chroma your cycles may be altered?
Yes. Tell me more.
Teens to dracula. So very young to immortal? Or just very old.
I think we all would, honestly.

I do not know much, as I am very new here, but I am over five hundred? It is very young for my people, but old for most. As for the undeath, that is very much different from different worlds, I would think.
In mine, it was very bad. We had a big war against the undead, but some of them helped us? So there are good ones, too.
no subject
I am new as well. A few days. It's old for someone in my universe but not in others.
Do you know what undeath means in this world, if anything?
And in yours, if you care to share that information with me.

Unfortunately, as others have likely told you, we have very little in the way of answers regarding the first three questions. I will say the generation of mana (magic, chroma, whatever term you'd like to use) is tied to sex in my world so it's not an unheard of phenomenon.
You will find a broad range of dead, undead, supernatural, and otherwise powered (or unpowered) individuals here. Definitions of these terms may also vary.
I couldn't comment on a loss of genitalia, but don't be surprised if what you have starts behaving differently than usual.
To the other questions, it seems you've gotten a variety of answers. Good luck with sorting through them.
[ In other words, welcome to the clusterfuck, Stephen. Enjoy your stay. ]
no subject
So it would seem. Magic is energy in my universe but it's apparent many Moonblessed come from realms where sex is tied to magic.
I've learned that there are two kinds of Lich and goblins that can be alive or dead. Multiple universes can mean anything is possible.
If what I have starts behaving differently, I'll try to keep my surprise to a minimum.
Stephen Strange and you are?

- Rabbit ears and a tail so far. My changes seem to be relatively mundane compared to others.
-Unsure but possibly the ability for people who have died in their own world to be brought here from an earlier point in time before their passing?
- I've yet to meet anyone younger than sixteen, at least by their own age standards. I'm nineteen, personally.
- Uncommon, but it seems someone recently gained a more... unfortunate trait of being, I believe, an owl.
no subject
That's a unique perspective and one I can appreciate.
Most I've met are in their twenties. A few above and a few below.
It might not mean anything.
That's what I've heard. Very unfortunate.
