Birthdays, fighting and sex. Those seem to be the most popular things to talk about on the network lately but like, I'm sure you people have other things that hold your interest right?
Like what do you do for fun that isn't fighting or sex? I can't speak on birthdays since it's not something my species celebrate, but if you don't have an answer for the first question then I guess you could always try explaining why birthdays are so important?
[She's been wondering this for a while but didn't feel it would be best to ask these things with her name attached.]

For humans, at least, I think birthdays caught on by way of 'hurrah, you made it another year without dying.' They're really blessed fragile, especially when they're small. Getting through a whole year used to be a big achievement, and sometimes it still is.
I've got a date I write down on human-facing paperwork, since it weirds them out when you say you don't have one. They just conveniently never notice I didn't include a year and fill in whatever one they think suits best.

And huh, it still strikes me as a bit silly the whole deal. And the fact that you need a date for... Paperwork. Just seems like a lot of effort for something so inconsequential.

To be fair, I don't need to do a lot of human-facing paperwork. But it's not so inconsequential to them.

Humans put importance in such weird things.
