Birthdays, fighting and sex. Those seem to be the most popular things to talk about on the network lately but like, I'm sure you people have other things that hold your interest right?
Like what do you do for fun that isn't fighting or sex? I can't speak on birthdays since it's not something my species celebrate, but if you don't have an answer for the first question then I guess you could always try explaining why birthdays are so important?
[She's been wondering this for a while but didn't feel it would be best to ask these things with her name attached.]

I like to read. Usually medical texts, but I've read a few novels and even comics here and there.

Birthdays are important because it's a time when the people who care about you and who you care about can enjoy some time together! I guess some places and people don't really care much, but I like spoiling and celebrating birthdays with the people I genuinely love and care about.
But there's other ways to do that too, if parties aren't your thing.

For humans, at least, I think birthdays caught on by way of 'hurrah, you made it another year without dying.' They're really blessed fragile, especially when they're small. Getting through a whole year used to be a big achievement, and sometimes it still is.
I've got a date I write down on human-facing paperwork, since it weirds them out when you say you don't have one. They just conveniently never notice I didn't include a year and fill in whatever one they think suits best.

I can say what I enjoy doing for fun though. Reading is one of the most enjoyable things, spending time in a library and learning about different places and things. Also experiencing any sort of story imaginable.

Before I actually went to space, I spent a lot of time just looking at the stars and planets. Now, with all the stars different, I've spent time plotting them.
... I also like to read. And play video games with my sister.

Personally though Miwako loves fashion! Learning, creating, and trying out fashion... It's so exciting! It's a whole new world with so many influences, if nothing else I want to be able to learn about what everyone likes and why.
And maybe, if I could, I could help people by making something that makes them happy when they wear it.

Back home, I liked to read and play the occasional video game. I like fantasy and sci-fi novels and role playing games. They have arcades here, and I've been meaning to check them out.
A lot of the fantasy and sci-fi here is smutty, so I end up reading more technical stuff.

Crossword puzzles.
But I haven’t been here long—and so haven’t found anything here that scratches the same itch. The best ones rely rather heavily on world-specific knowledge.
