Hello everyone, my name is Dr. Daniel Dickens. (You're welcome to call me "Danny" though, if you'd like!)

I wanted to announce that starting this month, I will be working with the Second Nature Clinic as it's resident psychiatrist. For those who don't know what that means, my specialty is in providing psychological counseling and therapy for anyone struggling here mentally or emotionally. Even if you do not need therapy and would simply like a confidential listening ear with someone here, I'm happy to help.

I also have some experience in other fields of medical expertise, so if you have any questions about that, I'll do my best to answer and see if there's something else I can help you with here. Aside from your basic first aid, surgery, and the like, I even have some skill in optometry--but, I'm sure you are all taking good care of your eyes here, so that will hopefully not be necessary.

Though, ah... despite advertising myself now, perhaps it might be best to wait until a few days from now to schedule a visit, on account of certain factors at the moment.

Which reminds me... I apologize if this is a question that has already been asked before, but in regards to when some cycles here suddenly gives a person wings... can you actually fly with them, or are they merely for decoration, so to speak? I'm assuming the latter, given how difficult it may be depending on size to use them to support oneself in the air, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Oh, that's good to know! I can use healing artes, so I can heal up physical wounds fairly well, but I know that doesn't do much for healing things mentally or emotionally. It's good to know we've got someone who knows more about that kind of thing.

What kind of wings did you get? I've got some ... interesting legs. Still learning how to walk with them ...

I'm not sure... I think they're supposed to be a swan? Or some kind of geese, maybe?

Those must be some pretty wings, then!

My legs are deer legs. It's a little difficult to go from human feet to hooves. It might have been easier if my hands were also hooves, but it's just the legs. I feel like a Centaur ...

Would it be too much trouble if I asked to see what they looked like?

[ To be fair, deer legs on an otherwise human girl is probably pretty fascinating to those who aren't experiencing it. ]

Umm ... Sure?? I guess.

[ A moment later, a cell phone photo comes through of some fur-covered legs on a bed, hooves at the end of them. There's some shorts up toward the top, cutting off the photo at one edge. ]

They're pretty weird. My boyfriend has had to carry me around a lot, or keep me steady while I figure out how to make these work.

[ Said boyfriend is also probably seething nearby her at the idea of someone else getting a pic of his girlfriend's legs, but she's keeping him calm as much as she can. It's for science, ok. ]

Oh dear, those really do look difficult to walk with. I'm kind of glad that I haven't had a huge change like that occur yet.

I've had these the last couple of moon cycles, but I've heard that sometimes the physical effects differ with every moon? So maybe sometime I'll have a different attribute. That would be fun.

[ As annoying as it is, she's still finding some fun in it. She gets to help her boyo through his moon cycle, too, since he's Cordis. His cat ears are cute during cordis. ]

That does seem to be the case so far. I certainly didn't have wings the last time, after all.

[... which he still got this time too which is an odd combination with these wings...]

Aww! How cute! I hope I can have those sometime!! Those sound a lot less temporarily life-hindering.

I suppose, though I have noticed that things seem a little... louder, perhaps, when you have them? Or at least that's been my experience so far.

I guess that makes sense. My boyfriend gets cat ears during Cordis, and he already has more sensitive hearing even without them. The cat ears just amplify it a lot more than normal.

Indeed. For example, I thought I heard a neighbor slam their door like five doors down and yet I could somehow hear it from my apartment louder than I normally would have.

Ouch. I appreciate the heads up. Maybe Rin will be able to help me out a little if I ever end up with the rabbit ears ...
