Hello everyone, my name is Dr. Daniel Dickens. (You're welcome to call me "Danny" though, if you'd like!)

I wanted to announce that starting this month, I will be working with the Second Nature Clinic as it's resident psychiatrist. For those who don't know what that means, my specialty is in providing psychological counseling and therapy for anyone struggling here mentally or emotionally. Even if you do not need therapy and would simply like a confidential listening ear with someone here, I'm happy to help.

I also have some experience in other fields of medical expertise, so if you have any questions about that, I'll do my best to answer and see if there's something else I can help you with here. Aside from your basic first aid, surgery, and the like, I even have some skill in optometry--but, I'm sure you are all taking good care of your eyes here, so that will hopefully not be necessary.

Though, ah... despite advertising myself now, perhaps it might be best to wait until a few days from now to schedule a visit, on account of certain factors at the moment.

Which reminds me... I apologize if this is a question that has already been asked before, but in regards to when some cycles here suddenly gives a person wings... can you actually fly with them, or are they merely for decoration, so to speak? I'm assuming the latter, given how difficult it may be depending on size to use them to support oneself in the air, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Of course. Regardless of being anonymous or not, doctor-patient confidentiality is a very important rule for all doctors to follow with their clients. Anything you choose to say or do will always stay between the two of us, unless you give very explicit permission to share anything with anyone else.

From what you've said, you're hoping to alleviate other people's unhappiness with conversation, non? Like a mother, or a bartender.

Well, it's not just through conversation: depending on the person, some people may require medication. Either that, or I can help teach someone therapy techniques to work through their anxieties, such as breathing exercises, as an example. Does that make sense?

Indeed I do. It wouldn't be the first time I've helped a patient that had PTSD before, so you need not worry in that regard.

Well, it depends on you, really. I usually spend the first consultation getting to know the person a little so that I can understand your state of mind better, and then offering suggestions based on what you are comfortable with doing or trying first.

As for costs, the Second Nature Clinic is a non-profit of sorts. And personally, I prefer a person's first consultation being free of charge: that way, you can see how you feel with speaking to me as your doctor first before deciding whether or not this is something you want to continue with here. How does that sound?

Well... I have had patients before that had experienced unfortunate side effects from a medication, or from drugs and alcohol or the like, but I would need more specifics in regards to what type of poison you're referring to here.

Oh, that's good to know! I can use healing artes, so I can heal up physical wounds fairly well, but I know that doesn't do much for healing things mentally or emotionally. It's good to know we've got someone who knows more about that kind of thing.

If I may ask, what specifically are your skills in optometry? Is limited to diagnosis of physical symptoms?

Diagnosis of physical symptoms, yes, but I'm also knowledgeable of certain procedures that can be done to try to improve one's vision, or even helping people who are unable to fix their vision so easily.

I can't speak as someone who gains wings, but I did teach my roommate to fly when she acquired wings in one cycle. It is a difficult thing to learn in the span of a few days, as you might expect.
