Hello everyone, my name is Dr. Daniel Dickens. (You're welcome to call me "Danny" though, if you'd like!)

I wanted to announce that starting this month, I will be working with the Second Nature Clinic as it's resident psychiatrist. For those who don't know what that means, my specialty is in providing psychological counseling and therapy for anyone struggling here mentally or emotionally. Even if you do not need therapy and would simply like a confidential listening ear with someone here, I'm happy to help.

I also have some experience in other fields of medical expertise, so if you have any questions about that, I'll do my best to answer and see if there's something else I can help you with here. Aside from your basic first aid, surgery, and the like, I even have some skill in optometry--but, I'm sure you are all taking good care of your eyes here, so that will hopefully not be necessary.

Though, ah... despite advertising myself now, perhaps it might be best to wait until a few days from now to schedule a visit, on account of certain factors at the moment.

[Moon cycles suck as an Iris and he still hates it.]

Which reminds me... I apologize if this is a question that has already been asked before, but in regards to when some cycles here suddenly gives a person wings... can you actually fly with them, or are they merely for decoration, so to speak? I'm assuming the latter, given how difficult it may be depending on size to use them to support oneself in the air, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

I can imagine. Not to mention that I assume that these will also only last for a few days, and then go away for another month or so.

[Just like the rabbit ears from before... which he also got this month too, which just makes for a confusing sight to see, really.]

May I see them? Though I am certain you look as cute as ever, whatever your changes might be.

[So there's a brief moment here where Danny squints at his screen here, wondering if maybe he is misreading this or if Grimm typoed the wrong word somehow with that "cute" compliment before he assumes "oh right, it's probably moon hormones", and finally responds.]

You can, though it might be at an awkward angle to try to get a good picture of them here with my phone.

I could visit, if you prefer? Iris has been lenient with me this time around, so you need not worry about conversations taking an awkward turn.

[he's not sure if he can say that same for himself on iris leniency, given the precaution he's taken to not have appointments at the clinic immediately until the moon cycles calm the hell down, but...

... well, it wasn't that bad when he was around Grimm the last time. Quite the opposite, really.]

If you'd like to stop by and see them for yourself in person, then sure, that's fine with me.

[Does Grimm need the address or does he still remember where Danny lives?]

[Nope, he remembers! And he'll show up looking almost entirely normal. Iris really was lenient with him.]

[Lucky you. When Danny answers the door, he has those silly (yes he still thinks they're kind of silly) rabbit ears, but now he also has some swan wings poking through the back of a coat with holes in the back to get them to spread out better. And yes, they're very soft and downy to the touch if you try to risk a pet, but Danny doesn't let Grimm linger in the hallway for long, he's pretty quick to let him in and shut the door behind him.]

Can I get you anything to drink while you're here?

No need.

[Grimm doesn't just reach out and grope a wing like an animal, he has manners, but...]

As I thought, you're as terribly cute as ever.

[doctorize]

[In response, Danny laughs a tad awkwardly, scratching his cheek here.]

That's very flattering of you to say.

[And yet it still gets a reaction from him in the form of those wings fluttering a little cheerfully, because moon hormones are stupid.]

But as you can see, these are the kind of wings I was referring to before. I think they're supposed to be a swan, or some other kind of bird close enough to one?

They are lovely. May I feel them?

[are they as soft as they look...]

Ah, alright. Go ahead.

[He comes closer, and while he doesn't really have control over these wings yet, one of them twitches outward toward Grimm with a momentary flap to let him touch it... hopefully it doesn't end up smacking him in the face here.]

[Controlling muscles you aren't used to having is difficult, he knows. No judgement here.

Carefully, he reaches out to start gently petting a wing.]

As soft as it looks.

Oh, thank you. I'm glad you think so...

[His dumb wings kept twitching a lot out of his own reach when he tried to touch them himself but Danny hums a little, pleased at the petting of the wing here. He hadn't been expecting that he would feel anything there, but apparently, he can.]

[It's a part of the body with nerves and senses.]

If you would like some instruction in flight, I could offer that as well.

Oh, that would certainly be appreciated! I've had some people recommend trying to practice out on the beach... though between you and me, I must admit that I'm a little concerned about potentially getting sand in my eyes or something if I'm not careful.

Indoors would be fine. I would not expect you to go very high or very far.

[And Danny's apartment is really empty anyway.]

Ha ha, true enough. In that case I think it should be fine if we move the couch and anything else that might be in the way, just to be safe.

[... But given how empty Danny's apartment is, it probably is just the couch and a table at most that may need to be moved.]

Ah, yes, let us do that.

[He... looks at the couch. Then at Danny. It's nice that he has his hands for this, but...]

How heavy are couches, usually?

... Don't worry, I'll help you with moving it.

[It shouldn't be too much trouble if both of them work together to move it, each going by one end to lift it up.]

Fortunate that I still have opposable thumbs for this task.

[picking things up with tentacles... is hard]

Indeed.

[But once the couch has been moved out of the way, along with a coffee table, there should be plenty of room now, as Danny then turns his attention to Grimm.]

Alright then... what tips would you suggest giving us first here?

Simple stretches. These are muscles you are unaccostumed to having, let alone manipulating in a specific manner. Rather than any attempt at flight, the first step should be to become comfortable moving your wings.

Right... let's see...

[Danny... tries to see if he can manipulate them both into moving up and down a bit at the same time, and well, it's out of sync with one wing raising a little higher while the other just sort of flaps back and forth in the same spot.]
