I have a question. Consider it a bit of a survey or questionnaire. I'm curious. I want to remain anonymous, so that people feel like they can safely remain anonymous, as well.

What does love mean to you here? What did it mean to you at home? Is it different for both?

Relationships are seemingly more complicated here than they would be at most of our homes. I was wondering if others felt the same.

How are you managing it here in a place where it does seem more complicated? Are you doing the same things you would have done if you were at home?

I can't say painters are much different, though.

You paint? I'd ask to hear more about your work, but that might compromise your anonymity.

We only met after dying and being summoned again, but assuming that counts...

I do. I do quite a lot of traditional art. Another time, another place perhaps.

I mean, it counts well enough. Are you enjoying your new life? I don't know if I'd want to come back after death, personally.

I've had the opportunity to meet wonderful people in Lunatia, so I'm grateful for that part of my afterlife. And at home, I was brought back for a specific purpose - to fight to protect literature from being consumed and its memory erased. Even those of us who wouldn't necessarily ask to be brought back will fight for that.

That's weird. Not bad, of course.[ as if he hasn't seen his own share of weird ]I like a bit weird and interesting things. The memory of literature being erased isn't a set of words I'd ever think I'd read.

There's hardly anyone who hasn't read and been influenced by literature at some point in their lives. The very real threat of that influence being erased... It's a set of words I wish I didn't have to say, either.

How? I am sure it's going to sound a bit like fiction to me, but that's alright.

Creatures called Taints are consuming literature from the inside. They're made of human emotions, but besides that we don't know where they come from or why now.

Normal humans can't enter a book to fight them, so they summoned the spirits of dead authors to defend their works.

Oh, that's actually pretty interesting. It does sound a bit like fiction, but I think that makes it a bit more fascinating. And not completely unbelievable given that everyone here is from different places and got abducted to an alien planet.

I'm sure I would have adjusted to Prismatica much more poorly if I'd been taken directly from a 'normal' life.

[Just spend a couple years as an undead in modern Japan before you go for the wild things like alien planets and multiple worlds.]

I'd say that's probably the same to me, too. A bit of weird does make this place easier to get used to.

How do people who come here from completely mundane lives manage? My heart would give out.

Who knows. I mean, yeah, this place is still a bit odd, but at least I can start to manage some aspects of it.

At least we've gotten used to the furry parts by now.

For the most part, yeah. I mean, mine change nearly monthly, but I still know to expect them.

Varied symptoms from the same moonblessing, or actually different moonblessings? I've seen people vary between standard Cordis-kitsune and standard Sanguis-dragon, but I've also heard that people can switch moonblessings on rare occasions...

Same Moonblessing. It's been pretty inconsistent from month to month. How much it impacts my behavior, how hungry I am or not. Every little detail has been different since arriving.

Mine have been like that too, even when I have standard Cordis symptoms. It can be difficult to plan around, sometimes.

That's what I'm seeing - that it's difficult to plan or assess what I'll need. Do I need extra food? If I get too much, will it go to waste. Everything like that.

But it's not just that, you know? I'd like to be prepared, even if it is the same awful things month to month.

I haven't had an issue with the food going bad yet, but then Cordis usually affects my Chroma more than my appetite.

Do you live by yourself, or do you have a roommate you can send out for grocery runs?

I am going to be living with someone else who is Cordis. As it were, if things start to go bad, I'd have to cook and freeze them.

Still, it's been a bit of a pain to have it be so inconsistent.
