I've drawn a lot of traditional art - including portraits, paintings, and so on. What medium were you looking for?

As for the...clairvoyance, I might be able to help with that, too. Were you looking for exact images from memory or for a description of what appeared in the memory?

The exact medium is unimportant. It is simply that I have no pictures of those dearest to me from my own world, and I would very much like to.

Exact images. It has been nine months since I last saw them, so I am worried that my recollections may be slightly off... given it would still all be my memories, perhaps it would not work, but I hoped someone with that sort of ability might compare their images to my memories of them from before I arrived here, and in that way ensure their accuracy.

Ah. Well, I can certainly produce the artwork. What I can see may not be what you're looking for since my ability leans towards revealing in text form, even if it is a pretty complete picture.

To be honest, I think it is an incredible coincidence that you happened to have such an ability in the first place! What sort of thing do you normally use it for?

Inspiration and stories. [ He's trying to make this sound the least sketchy possible: but it is at least a little sketchy considering how frequently he's abused the power ] I'm an artist for a living at home, so it helps.

It seems as though it would help a bit more directly if you were a writer rather than an artist. Though it might be difficult to avoid
copying
too much?
Would it be considered plagiarism, do you suppose?

Who knows, I don't really use it to copy things down, more to get inspiration and ideas. Drawing from life makes for better work.

You mean, for instance, if you got to read a memory about something really incredible happening, you would be inspired to draw a picture of it?

Correct. Of it, or inspired by it. I am able to do both quite easily.

Easily, even! How splendid. Were you already an accomplished artist when you gained the ability to read memories, or was it the other way around? Or did the two skills develop in tandem with one another?

I was already an accomplished artist before this. For quite some time, actually. This additional ability only gave me a bit more references.

Compared with regular books, that is. Or other things not in text form.

Compared to regular books? Yes. It's even better than interviewing someone, to be honest.

I had not even considered interviews as a source of inspiration for visual art...
It seems there is much I don't know about the world of artists.
