TEXT; UN: LOCALBIGSIS
I know this sounds like an odd question but I can't think of any better way to come up with an answer.
Say that you've just basically returned from the dead. Not a zombie or anything but well kind of but not really!
What should you give your friends as an apology gift? Flowers? Something more extravagant?

But it just seems like the right thing to do.

I had that I ended up leaving everyone behind because I was too distracted.
They probably experienced so much grief...

What killed you?

There was nothing they could do since wounds created by it are to never heal.
The one who did it got me real good.

[What do you mean that's a weird statement to put on the network? Doesn't seem weird to Rin.]

But why would there be? The only time you think about the dead coming back to life is with zombies. And zombies aren't too common.

[ He supposed if it was suicide, he could understand. But if it wasn't in this person's control, then... why? ]

I was supposed to be the one they depended on, after all.
But you can't exactly do that when you're dead.
It's even worse when you die in their arms...

Speaking as someone who also had a dead friend arrive here...I think just the fact you're alive will make them happy.

Could it really just be that simple?
I let them down pretty badly...

I'm happy that you got to reunite.

But, then again, dying and then coming back to life isn't exactly a common enough thing to start making it a tradition.
Besides, it just seems like the proper thing to do. I hate making my friends sad.

Have you considered you don't need to apologize at all?
no subject
Why wouldn't I need to apologize? Isn't kind of, well, rude to cause them grief only for me to come back to life like it's some kind of prank?

they might just be happy to see you? but i guess... chocolates or something, everyone likes chocolates
no subject
Maybe I'll bring them chocolates and give an offer of a simple hangout!
Though, it might be kind of awkward. I feel like things are kind of different now.

So doesn't it seem natural to apologize when you hurt people?

I found that apologizing and offering to spend time seemed to make the most difference.

I just feel like I should offer more, you know?

But my friends were still hurt by my death. You usually apologize when you hurt people, even if you didn't mean to.

If they're truly your friends I doubt you have to give them anything at all.
no subject
They definitely won't take anything from me.
But I still feel like I need to offer it to them.

Has someone that you knew as dead come alive again?
no subject
I just happen to know people who saw me die beforehand that are here...

[Text] un: firefist
If they love you, they'll just be glad to have you with them again. That's present enough. They might even be frustrated with you for trying to apologize.
no subject
I just can't help but want to properly make things up to them. They shouldn't have had to see my die like that.
But! I'm glad things worked out with your brother.

The pain of death cannot be erased easily. Speak with your friends, and ask them what they need. And, if they are willing, ask them for help with what you need.
no subject
Are you sure there isn't any more to it though? Like getting them, I dunno, a new video game too?
