Technology sucks and he needs to learn it. So he's...using technology to ask about technology, look it's not ideal. This is why he needs help.]

I know I can't be the only person who still doesn't get half of the "modern technology" this place has. [And boy, does he sound annoyed by this.] I know there's that academy here, but they seem to expect you to have a basic understanding of this stuff and don't seem to know how to handle someone whose world has pulleys and nothing fancier.

[Magic items don't count here.]

Learnin' how to use all this crap as I go isn't working out. Anyone have any, I dunno, books or something? Advice from other people in this situation?

What's so weird to you? This technology was made for convenience. It's supposed to make life easier. Maybe, you need to change the way you see it?

RPG means Role-playing game. Virtual reality is...

[That's a little hard to explain in Layman's terms.]

Think of it as an illusion or a dream for entertaining. The VR simulation immerses you in a fictional environment, but everything feels very real.

You play a role within a game. Usually, this is of the fantasy genre. You can play a different class of warrior or sorcery or healer. Usually, depending on the class you choose, it'll dictate the path you will follow in the game.

Not quite. It's not something on display for others to watch. It's like an adventure you experience on your own, or with a friend if you choose.

Curious. I tried to look it up but it was a bunch of gibberish and I gave up.
