The opening of the museum here is enormously exciting, but it also has me thinking about museums at home.
I know there are exhibits about me in at least a few museums - I've never been to see one, because it feels vaguely egotistical to attend an exhibit about yourself? But I've always wondered what sort of things they have to say about me. What parts of my life are worth putting on display for the public.
If there were a museum dedicated to you, what do you suppose would be on exhibit?

In this premise, is the exhibit based on my life as it is now? Or on how I presume I will be remembered in the future, when I will undoubtedly have many more accomplishments to my name?

There would be a detailed history of the Aegir lineage and our territory, of course; and I would like to imagine that there would be a selection of my finest writings, both legal treatises and personal letters and poems to those I love.
[ Because surely no one will throw those away!! ]
I have already had several very nice portraits commissioned throughout my life thus far, but I am certain there will be others in the future, so visitors can see how I appeared at different points throughout my life. Perhaps there would be a room dedicated to the period embodied by each! There will likely be artistic renderings of my actions and contributions to history as well, perhaps in wood carvings and sculpture as well as paint!
Artifacts like the armor I wore to a particularly historic battle, or the shoes of my favored horse, could also be on display. Children would especially be interested in my horses, I think, so a section focused on them would help make the exhibit enjoyable for the whole family.

It sounds like a wonderful experience. Perhaps the museum could keep a few well-behaved horses for the children to pet.
Are you an author as well?

[ So it's plausible that he could have at least some kind of exhibit dedicated to him someday!
Though, ah... actually, that will very much depend on what path his future leads him on, won't it? Not to mention the perspective from which his legacy is determined. For all he knows, he may end up being perceived as a villain's accomplice if he sides with Edelgard or as a traitor to his homeland if he turns against her.
There's also a distinct possibility that he could fall in battle a few years from now without accomplishing much of anything he'd hoped for, with the people of his territory worse off in a war-torn future than they are now, so maybe "undoubtedly" isn't the right word.
... ]
That is the future I hope to see, in any case.

I'm nothing so important as that: a teacher and a writer, that's all.
