The opening of the museum here is enormously exciting, but it also has me thinking about museums at home.
I know there are exhibits about me in at least a few museums - I've never been to see one, because it feels vaguely egotistical to attend an exhibit about yourself? But I've always wondered what sort of things they have to say about me. What parts of my life are worth putting on display for the public.
If there were a museum dedicated to you, what do you suppose would be on exhibit?

sometimes you gotta build a museum to spite your dad. that's just how it is
You know how sometimes people's work changes everyone's lives, and yet nobody's ever heard of them because they don't take credit for it? It's a little like that. He deserves for everyone to know what he's done for them.

[He wouldn't presume to say that he's changed people's lives, but besides that, he's that kind of person.]

What's the point of a hypothetical museum if you can't use it to make someone miserable, right?

But maybe if it was just one little exhibit in a bigger museum, they could be next to something they'd like. That might be fine.

I think it might be nice to be a part of something larger.

I keep thinking I'd want to put them in museums of things they like, but that's kind of just taking them to see a museum. The things they like and the things they do aren't really the same.
I know I'm butchering your original question all over the place here. I'd say sorry, but you don't seem to be taking offense.

Let's see... If it was Ranpo, I think he'd like to be reminded of all the detective cases he solved and the people he helped. That's something to take pride in.
