The opening of the museum here is enormously exciting, but it also has me thinking about museums at home. I know there are exhibits about me in at least a few museums - I've never been to see one, because it feels vaguely egotistical to attend an exhibit about yourself? But I've always wondered what sort of things they have to say about me. What parts of my life are worth putting on display for the public. If there were a museum dedicated to you, what do you suppose would be on exhibit?

I see. Our professions are so different that it makes sense. You probably weren't often in the public eye, after all.

Talking about myself and being seen by the public is part of my job, but even though a lot of information about me is available and easy for anyone to find, even I'd feel uncomfortable with anything but the very basics of my personal history being shared.

An exhibit about your work would be nice, but the personal information aspect is a little intrusive, isn't it... You probably never intended for anyone to know those things.

Never. And part of it is the lack of privacy that comes with being dead - you can just put in a search on the internet and find my family history, personal tragedies listed in a timeline with names and dates, everything I normally would keep secret.

No wonder you're hesitant. I can imagine that you'd rather not relive past tragedies, much less have them revealed to the public.

Even as an idol, or perhaps because I am one, there's an awful lot I'd go great lengths to keep from being shared.

No, none. The new museum seems much more focused on art and folklore than anything like that.

In that case, I'm looking forward to visiting. Museums always have so much to offer.

But now I can't help thinking about all of the deceased historical figures that would probably rather not have their lives on display....

Dead men have no privacy. Particularly famous ones. I don't know what can be done about it.
