The opening of the museum here is enormously exciting, but it also has me thinking about museums at home.

I know there are exhibits about me in at least a few museums - I've never been to see one, because it feels vaguely egotistical to attend an exhibit about yourself? But I've always wondered what sort of things they have to say about me. What parts of my life are worth putting on display for the public.

If there were a museum dedicated to you, what do you suppose would be on exhibit?

You'd think that, but in my world there are monsters consuming literature, and the spirits of writers have been summoned to protect their works from being devoured and forgotten. It's a goal worth fighting for, so I don't mind.

That is, indeed, a very worthy cause, and I feel as though if I were presented with the same threat, I would also choose to fight. It is a shame that it’s necessary in the first place, though.

I agree. Hopefully we can find out the source of those creatures, but until then the best we can do is hold them back to keep any other story from disappearing and its influence on its readers erased.
