[ It's a girl with plaited hair who graces everyone's feeds with her presence today. Some may have seen her on TV already, though she's definitely more present on stage in the theatre. To those who know her but haven't met her since mid-February, she's matured by a lot. Anyway... ]

Do any of you use Demichroma? I'd like to point out that while it's not worth a lot with Chroma in the picture, it's still an invaluable resource.

[ The video doesn't seem to be in an apartment. It's more of an office setting. A man in a Moon Knight's uniform suddenly starts walking in the back. Weiss looks behind her and tries to tell him to go away.

AHEM. ]

With the right amount of Chroma added, you can use Demichroma to defend yourself. It helps, I think, that you shouldn't just rely on the magic you get from the Moons, if you don't have any other abilities to fight of your own. There's more trouble on the horizon, what with what happened last month, not to mention, that King Majestas which no one seems to have any idea of.

So, this is Demichroma with a little bit of fire, [ She shows a small red crystal to the screen. ] And this is what I can do with it.

[ A Glyph appears next to her when she summons it. Then she tosses the crystal into the Glyph backwards, where a beam of fire comes out and practically toasts the wall behind them. Said Moon Knight who had a cameo earlier starts extinguishing the flames. ]

I'd be happy to give more tips on how to use Demichroma in battle. Of course, if there are other uses for it that you think would be helpful, not just in combat, but you can use energy in so many ways. Let's exchange ideas.

[She got excited thinking someone else from Tyria might possibly be here. Of course that was too much to ask.]

I doubt it would do much with my Druid skills but I wonder if I could add Demichroma to my arrows...

Have you put it on a weapon yet, or just used it as a projectile so far?

I've used Demichroma on my own weapon before. We have something similar back in Remnant called "Dust". While my sword can contain Dust rounds, it seems that powdered Demichroma works the same way that I don't have to adjust anything on my weapon.

Dust rounds? Like ammunition? Hn. Damn, I almost wish I'd picked up rifle instead of bow. I would do some finagling with arrows myself but I haven't seen anything like a crafting station here since I arrived...

With a proper weapon maker, you could have a bow that could use Demichroma crystals.

I'm not sure who to suggest, though. Perhaps you can ask around.

How necessary is being armed here?

[schmisse]

You can leave the fighting to the Moon Knights, but... having a means to defend yourself would be good.

After all, there are some things even beyond their power.

Well, I already have that much. I do want to make sure I'm prepared, though, if that's the case. I'm still not entirely sure how Chroma and my abilities work together yet, either.

[schmisse]

No time like now to start learning. It's usually during the Sanguis and Cordis cycles when the city is the quietest.

I'm, apparently, Sanguis and I have noticed that. I'll have to give some things a bit of thought before I decide my next few moves but this has helped a lot, thank you.

[A pause, then:]

No, it's... fine. It's actually gotten me curious.

[ It doesn't seem like she wants to talk about it, but Weiss wants to ask, anyway— ]

Are there Glyphs in your world, too? They're unique, where I'm from. At least, it's only members of my family who are able to use it.

[Actually, she does want to talk about it, but she was trying to not distract from the main topic of the post.

Now that she's more or less given the green light there, she perks up noticeably.]

Glyphs, signets, runes, marks, wells... it really depends on the person and their skill set. I know a lot of Elementalists who favor glyphs in particular, and I learned how to use them when I gained my Druid abilities.

You must be really good with them, though, if they're only used by your family.

What do Glyphs do, where you're from?

[ She wants to learn more, now. Maybe she can improve her usage of her own Glyphs by adapting the style from another world. ]

That depends on the abilities, but for a Druid like myself they're for healing and removing conditions. For an Elementalist, they're for summoning and I believe some skill boosting.

[schmisse]

Those are terms I'm afraid I don't understand. Are they schools of magic?

[ That's what she thinks, based on the context clues. ]

Nooooooot exactly?

[She scratches at her cheek thoughtfully. The only real schools of- anything she knows are the Asura science schools, but that is only tangentially related.]

The more common term is "profession" though not in the "this is my job" sense. Elementalists are generally born with an innate skill in magic already and can channel it into fire, water, earth and air abilities. Druids are more about specific nature magic that's mostly used for healing.

[schmisse]

I see. [ At least, she thinks she understands... ] So Glyphs aren't limited to certain types of people— it's something that can be used by everyone.

Is my interpretation correct?

[arrowroot]

Yes, that's correct. The nice thing about professions is that you're not limited to just one type - I actually started as a Ranger and became a Druid later.

That does make me curious about yours, though.

[schmisse]

Only members of the Schnee family are capable of using them.

[ So they're... a little more special. Special snowflakes! ]

[Very special snowflakes.]

That's... hm. I imagine that has both benefits and difficulties, only having a limited amount of people that can use it. How did you learn to be so proficient? Did you struggle much or did it come fairly naturally to you?

[schmisse]

Others have different abilities— I have some friends who are capable of being very fast, turning themselves into rose petals in the process; turning into shadows; and hitting really hard when they're angry. [ The last one falls a little flat... it sounds like she was building up for skills to be better and better, and yet!! ]

I was taught by my sister. She's learned how to harness our Semblance very well.

[Just sounds like a Berserker to her. She's seen her brother take front line hits and absolutely decimate enemies after enough of them.

The rest do sound far more specialized and unique, though. One can train and craft their abilities to vary from someone else but at the end of the day you're both Rangers, both Warriors, both Elementalists...]

It's called Semblance? That is incredible. Your world sounds really interesting!

I suppose. But it's not all that great.

[She's not trying to discredit Weiss, but Tyria sure has its share of problems that she's been inexorably wrapped up in for most of her adult existence!]
