Oh it's annoying. But it's very... unfamiliar, so it's easier to shrug it off, I suppose.

I've given into the unfamiliar a great deal. I had to in the East and after I sailed West. There were so many customs that seemed at odds with what I knew about myself and others, but I followed through with them to earn the trust of my people.

It's not really a cultural thing. I just don't naturally feel much interest in the things the Moons push us towards. It's an alien feeling, so I can recognise it and decide not to go along with it.
