(Video; UN: motherofdragons)

(She is less subtle, by far, than a certain other lady from her world. Maybe she should be more careful, but why? This is fun. The Dothraki have rubbed off on her. No, get your mind out of the gutter. Not like that for a long time at least.)

What do you look for in a partner? When you are under the influence of the moons, who do you gravitate towards?

(People who are good for you or people who are a bit naughty?)

Any regrets?

[Oh, story time!]

Some of this I found out more recently, but what I learned did put a lot of missing pieces together.

The world of Remnant hasn't always been the way it is now. Creatures of Grimm have always existed, but eons ago humans actually had the ability to hone and use magic. However when the brother gods of light and dark left the world they took their gifts of magic with them and left the Grimm. Humanity did manage to adapt, however, and took up three key things in order to survive - Aura, Semblance, and Dust.

Aura is the ability to project our soul outward like a shield, and can also be used to heal wounds. All living things with a soul have the ability to use Aura, though it takes time and training to truly make it a powerful skill. Semblance is more unique; every person has their own but it has to be unlocked, and a lot of non-combatants don't often see a need to. The women in the Schnee family are a rare case of shared Semblances - that is, glyphs - but beyond them even people who have similar ones will still have unique traits.

Finally Dust is a mineral mined from the earth that acts as an energy propellent and can be any range of elements from lightning to fire, water and stone, and everything in between. Dust can be coupled with Semblances, weapons, even infused into clothing.

[A bit of an info dump, but it does help to paint a broader picture of the place Ren came from.]

My Semblance is Tranquility. It quells negative or heightened emotions as Grimm are attracted to such things, but it also woke in me when my village was destroyed so... it's been both a boon and a bit troublesome in certain aspects.

[Ren also doesn't usually talk this much but he's one of those that can ramble with the best of them if he's on a subject he's passionate about.]
