hi everybody!!

so, i was wondering... there's a lot of magic and stuff like that here, right? well, one of my friends is trying to finally ease their way into finally getting used to that sort of stuff (￣･ω･￣)

they have had bad experiences in the past and it's kind of ruined their experience to the point where they have issues!

so i want to help them!

unfortunately i don't have powers myself so i can't exactly do much and i don't want to exactly out myself, either (〃´∀｀)

but does anybody have any ideas on what would be a good idea to help them out? nothing too over the top or scary, though... or like, forceful! that would be EXTREMELY BAD!!

hmm, I wonder if there are prismals that can't use magic...

guess that's something I'll have to look up, too, hehe.

I'll let her know for sure! it's important to me, after all! but you're right that it's hard... but I really, really think she wants to change and stop being scared!

i don't see why not! and even if not, you could start with magic from other places! that way, it's not something that's all around you and you can increase your exposure at a speed you're comfortable with and work your way up to being comfortable with the amount all around us.

let her know i'll be cheering her on! and i think it's great that she's trying to do this. if more people were like her where i'm from things would be a lot better.

well, psychic powers is still relevant, i think?

i mean, 'powers' in general is something that she's a little... y'know!

her world doesn't have anything like that, after all.

please. some people where i'm from grow up knowing about psychic powers but still end up writing books about how espers are the greatest danger to society in the future.

[And also try to push out esper segregation laws. That sort of thing.]

oh, well. then i could talk about that if it'd help! i could also take her flying if she's all right with heights!

i don't think they're the type of person that would write that since like... while they're uncomfortable, she doesn't blame people with abilities...

it's what they do with them that's really important

but i'd definitely appreciate talking so i can tell her stuff!!

flying might be a little much, though. she doesn't mind heights, but.

good for her! honestly, if only more people thought like that things would be so much better!

i get it. take it one step at a time, right? but the view is really amazing! and it's good to be shown the great things powers can do!

as for psychic powers.


where i'm from, psychic powers are given a level from 1-7. levels 1-3...well, you can't do much with those. 4 and higher is what are considered 'high levels'. 6 is the highest level that can be tested by equipment and anything more powerful than that is considered level 7! less than 3% of all espers have powers higher than level 3. japan, for example, has only ever had 3 level 7 espers!

you can't assume the worst based off of what they can do, i guess! is the mindset there!

but she's had a lot of bad experiences and it kiiiinda affects her kneejerk reaction, sometimes, eheh.

ah, so basically it's like power levels?

i totally get her. when i was younger a some bad experiences with adults gave me a kneejerk reaction to all adults. but then i met an adult who was kind and patient and that changed everything for me. but even then...it took a while.

yes! that's exactly it! and they have to get tested once a year or more often depending on the situation because these things fluctuate!

and besides levels, psychic powers are divided into 3 types. pk, aka psychokinesis, which is the ability to affect the physical world like moving things around, pyrokinesis and all those!

the other one is esp! which includes abilities like telepathy, clairvoyance, psychometry, etc. it's the power to 'see' or 'sense' things!

and then there's synthetic powers which are a mix of esp and pk. like teleportation! they sense the space around them then move things instantaneous! synthetic power users usually can't use thier powers seperately but they can use them together in a special way.
minamoto said out of the three types synthetic powers has the most variations.

where i'm from, espers are required to wear limiters. and depending on an esper's level and what powers they have the type of limiter is different, but they basically help suppress their powers.

it doesn't help that there's a lot of bad things that keep happening that are supernatural related, i guess? eheh.

but okay, i get it, i get it! 100%!

that's why replacing those experience with positive ones is key! there will always be jerks and people who do terrible things. but there are always good people too! don't let the bad ones ruin everything!
