02 | Video | For Those Who Think Sanguis
[Don is newly not furry but he's also looking annoyed and angry. His normally pristine features are grim. He's human - back to his handsome self but his hair hangs over his features and he's aggressively smoking a cigarette.]
So apparently I spend Sanguis as a bear thing. I know there's another fucking moon coming and I don't know what else is going to happen.
For the people who end up furry, you what - shave? And How do you handle clothing. Somebody ought to write a fucking book on this and let me publish it.
[He exhales smoke before taking another long drag on cigarette.]
And I'm not normally this open about this kind of thing but I need to moonlace. Bad. I'll buy you dinner and drinks. Or owe you in this case.
[He mutters something like takes all of the fun out of this before he sighs, leaning back and trying to relax.]

[He blinks in shock before he holds up a hand.] I was uh- I was Army engineering corps in Korea. The explosive guys were something else.
[Hopefully being a soldier 'In Korea' might give away his age, and his backwards attitude on some things.]
...Right. After turning into a fish I'm interested in learning basic self defense. What do I pay you?

[ She knew he was from the past, but she figured they're around the same age. Jill's thirty-five and puts him at about her age up to maybe forty, forty-five. It's still a breather to meet people in her age bracket. ]
Oh, well. [ She holds out her hand like she means to shake his again. ] Demi-chroma, tailored to what you can afford. Don't like to charge too much. And we'll both make Chroma from any physical contact we might share -- bonus.

He smiles knowingly.]
...I'm open to that too. I've been trying to get my own business off the ground. It's frustrating...most of this place operates by word of mouth.
So how long's your course?

Yeah, it's not ideal despite all the technology for starting over, is it? [ She withdraws her hand, settling it on her bourbon glass. ] Time, though? Whenever you feel like dropping. I'll always have something to teach and pass on and going from zero to something more does take time. I try to immediately offer solutions, though, from whatever fitness, strength, and knowledge level you might have. Don't want to prevent you from defending yourself, yeah?
[ She shrugs a little, goes in for her drink. The pull is long and thoughtful, accompanied by a hum when she finally sets the glass down again. ]
It took me years to be prepared for STARS, years more to be where I'm at. So I don't make promises, but I'm willing to work with you for results as long as you are. No pay-wall where you have to wait, it's up to how you work and manage, if that makes sense?

[Don nods mutely and he smirks, sipping at his alcohol.] I'm familiar. I prefer it that way.
[His brow furrows and he nods] What kind of equipment do you use? The last time I trained with a gun it was an M1 Garand.
[He is. Technically old.]
