[Don is newly not furry but he's also looking annoyed and angry. His normally pristine features are grim. He's human - back to his handsome self but his hair hangs over his features and he's aggressively smoking a cigarette.]

So apparently I spend Sanguis as a bear thing. I know there's another fucking moon coming and I don't know what else is going to happen.

For the people who end up furry, you what - shave? And How do you handle clothing. Somebody ought to write a fucking book on this and let me publish it.

[He exhales smoke before taking another long drag on cigarette.]

And I'm not normally this open about this kind of thing but I need to moonlace. Bad. I'll buy you dinner and drinks. Or owe you in this case.

[He mutters something like takes all of the fun out of this before he sighs, leaning back and trying to relax.]

[Hand holding. Augh. He nods, but this is what it is to live here and well. He'll have to work twice as hard so it doesn't happen again but Sanguis apparently takes a lot out of him.]

If it's any consolation the changes aren't always as intense every month. At least, that is how it has been in my experience.

( Call her a sucker for anyone upset; you wouldn't be wrong. The doctor has her apartment as a backdrop in a rare change of scenery, since it is almost always her clinic with a white lab coat on, but it's early afternoon and she's already home for the day, arm wiggling with the occasional little sound of... a puppy playing tug, apparently.

She looks otherwise serene with blond waves over one shoulder and a gifted Japanese lounge coat on in direct opposition to her clearly-Germanic looks and accent curling her syllables up at the ends. )

If it helps set your mind at ease, sir, we are only ever under the effects of one moon at a time. You have about ten days of peace until all three will be in the sky and the changes will come again. The bear traits are fairly new but there are already many shops who offer specialty items for other features and their necessary care. It sounds a bit silly to buy "horn polish" when you're not in a brass band, though, I'm sure. I can't say I've seen anyone shaving or accommodating much of anything besides their wardrobe, because the changes aren't always consistent and they do only last a few days. With a bit of looking, you'll be able to find whatever will help make you comfortable, I hope.

What sort of clothing issues did you have? I know I had to buy wide-necked sweaters and button-downs when I had antlers now and again, under Iris, but something shifted; I'm under Sanguis now, myself.

And if you don't mind a stranger's company— I'm a doctor, here. I would be more than happy to bring you something to eat and stick around until you're feeling better.

( Whatever that ends up requiring, which goes unspoken, but he'll figure out quickly enough that she isn't shy. She's been here too long to bother with that. )

[It's strange because looking at her he wishes the moon was back so he'd feel that extra boost of confidence. This is still more his speed and he laughs weakly, running a hand through his hair just so. Hair falls elegantly back into his face and he nods slowly.]

I still say someone should write a book but I'll keep my eyes peeled. Or at least do a little more investigating. It just sort of sprang on me this time.


[He shrugs.] Size. I'm at least two feet taller and wider and covered in brown fur. And paws and teeth and claws. But as a Doctor...could I trouble you for a glance over?

[And she'd bring him something to eat?]

I meant what I said about drinks though. ...Least I could do.

But that little laugh has her smile gentling further, seeming to let go of whatever she'd been wrestling with to an excited little yap behind the camera. You're just fine as you are, Don. Plenty handsome. )

Well, don't think me dissuading you. It would make it significantly easier than explaining the basics to new faces all the time. Someone did start an informational post once before, at least. But it only touched on a few aspects.

I never grew fur before, but I have grown wings as well as talons and scales. I've had to cut holes in some of my shirts just in case. The claws don't exactly make it easy either.

[He shrugs, not sure what else to add. He finds the claws and wings more inconvenient than needing to shave - though he supposes having fur on his back would get annoying.]

Yeah, I keep sprouting feathers. They claim it's supposed to be a swan but I just feel like an Endorian chicken. Seems to happen to everyone twice a month... Well, except for Iris, who just get theirs extended for double the time instead of getting a break in between.

As far as I know, people back home eat them all kinds of ways. But those are from the forest moon of Endor, hence the name. [ He hasn't had many meals back home that weren't through the First Order. Someday, he plans to work on that.

Anyway, he grimaces. ] I... do get urges, yeah. All I'll say is that wish it was to fight something. But the moons don't seem to just change us physically... I'm worried about them, honestly, but I haven't found a way around it yet.

I'm 6'2. Normally about 235? 240 after thanksgiving maybe. [He snorts, looking amused] I uh- near as I can figure I'm 6'9 and maybe about this bigger?

[He gestures about half a foot outside of his body.] Teeth, claws, paws. Bears are supposed to be huge though and I'm not. Just a big furry alien thing I guess.
