Through curiosity both morbid and not - what were you in the middle of before bring brought here, and how urgent do you consider returning to it?

Just going by the way things have been around here lately, I won't precisely be surprised if answers trend towards "having a crisis", "dying horribly", or "watching someone else die horribly"; even so, it isn't as though I'm going to judge for such things either way.

Are you a musician, or simply the otganizer?

I haven't played seriously since high school. I run a live house, and we're collaborating with a few other venues to make this happen. It's definitely a lot more mundane than anyone else's circumstances that I've heard.

I'm sure several here would prefer the mundane circumstances over whatever they currently have happening. I'm from one of the worlds that's a bit much, apparently, but I personally don't mind it.

I suppose most people would miss their home no matter what it is, right?

Perhaps so. I've never given much thought to whether or not I miss it any.

I hope you're at least finding this place well, then. At least it seems happy... most of the time, though I hear disasters like the flood last month are common, too.

I've been here a few months now. I wouldn't say it's disagreeable... If I had to pick anywhere to be, I likely wouldn't have chosen anywhere quite like this place, but I find I have little argument with it in the end.

Well, it's always good to be adaptable. I'm glad to hear you like it, then. Maybe it isn't so bad even with the natural disasters and weird creatures attacking... even if I'm not sure what to do on that front, so I just end up worrying.

I never had that sort of life, and all this about magic and future technology is a bit beyond me. Honestly, I wish I were more capable that way just because so many others are, but I wouldn't know where to start.

Well, you're right that everyone's got something they can do. Right now I'm just looking to get back to the kind of position I was in, since there are a lot of musicians here who could use the support. I'm sure you're happy with what you do, too, right?

I haven't managed to establish myself here quite as well as I would like; this place has taken some getting used to. In general, however, I'm a scientist. Virology, primarily.

That definitely sounds like something that would be useful in a new world. They must have all kinds of different things living here.
