Through curiosity both morbid and not - what were you in the middle of before bring brought here, and how urgent do you consider returning to it?

Just going by the way things have been around here lately, I won't precisely be surprised if answers trend towards "having a crisis", "dying horribly", or "watching someone else die horribly"; even so, it isn't as though I'm going to judge for such things either way.

You really think that many people were going through something terrible before being brought here? I wasn't doing anything special at all.

I actually wasn't doing anything in particular, I was doing what I could to keep a low profile. Technically speaking, I think I was still a wanted man.

But some folks went and stopped the apocalypse, so I guess that fits in with your second comment, doesn't it?

Not a whole lot. Trying to stop the population from getting brainwashed, but that's totally just a minor inconvenience, right?

At least I know it works since I've seen people from my world from my future but since I won't remember anything that counts as 'dying' in a way.

I would say that I was in the middle of something, but I currently have no desire to return to it, given how unpleasant the situation was.

Now that you mention it, I suppose demons falling out of the sky, hoards of darkspawn bubbling up to the surface, and one genocidal elf attempting to tear down the veil in order to restore his own people that he was responsible for destroying thousands of years ago...does count as a crisis?

The Inquisition's steward is still serving up vats of vinegar as opposed to proper wine. Now there's a true crisis.

I suppose I am a bit lucky in that I arrived after the worst of the crises in my world rather than in the midst of them, but it’s still not particularly encouraging to be pulled away in the middle of a political transition, even if the actual war has been won. I have faith in my allies, of course, but I have always been prone to worrying.
