Through curiosity both morbid and not - what were you in the middle of before bring brought here, and how urgent do you consider returning to it?

Just going by the way things have been around here lately, I won't precisely be surprised if answers trend towards "having a crisis", "dying horribly", or "watching someone else die horribly"; even so, it isn't as though I'm going to judge for such things either way.

A lot of worlds out there are apparently in some sort of trouble. Given what Remnant specifically is going through it does make me hope that those other worlds aren't in such a state that their battle is impossible to win.

Perhaps so. But there are ways to defeat things short of killing them, surely.

It was just very disheartening to hear at the time, especially considering one of my teammates had died because of this war we barely knew anything about at the time.
