[The feed starts, showing a rather buxom blonde who appears to be pouting at the device.]
Ehhh? I still think this is some sort of a joke. More like cruel and unusual punishment! And undeserved punishment too! The reports weren't that late... [By her standards.] And I don't want to go to any classes or do research. Is there someone else that can do that and given me a very short version of everything else...Taichoouuuu? I’m sorry? I’ll get right to those reports… in a bit? It’s not my fault the girls got in the way and knocked the ink over the paper! They have a mind of their own! I swear! Listen to them at night! They plot things!
[But those pale blue eyes turn away, and she frowns. She's not an idiot- lazy tendencies aside.]
Ne, but, this isn’t the human world, as it isn't the same as last time… and I might have been drinking a little bit of sake last night, but it wasn’t that much…
[But this is Rangiku. She can drink plenty of people under the table. She leans back a little, shinigami attire perhaps a little strange looking for some, although it may be familiar in style for others, and gives a flick of her hair over her shoulder.]
Oi, hello? Is there anyone out there? It would be pretty boring if there weren’t anyone else… That would mean I would have to talk to myself. I've never heard of a place called Prismatica, let alone a whole different planet... There better be sake here.

But hey, I hear ya, pal! It helps a lot. [He's not a super heavy drinker, but it does help to ease the varuous worries and stresses of this place.] And with that whole Chroma business, it's a lot easier to afford too!
no subject
[And while she isn't a dumb blonde, she also wouldn't say that she is a super genius. She goes have some moments, mind~ Especially when she wants to put her mind to it.]
... meaning?
As yes... she had only been half listening.]
no subject
[Gumshoe himself might be easily fooled regardless.]
What, the whole Chroma thing? You don't know about it, pal? The whole... thing about how physical touch gives you energy that you can use as money too?
no subject
[Win win. For her, anyway.
Unless she is wrong.
Not that it crosses her mind.
She does give a small flick of her hand. She had been partially listening. A lot of it had been boring, and she had had other concerns at the time.]
They might have said something about something like that...?
no subject
[At least he's doing well enough with his Chroma that it won't be a big loss for him!]
Oh, okay. I'm sure they did! So you understand what it is now?
no subject
[He may be in for a little surprise... She can drink it like water.]
Any type of touch?
no subject
Uh-huh! Well, I think it doesn't work if the touch is intended to harm. But otherwise, pretty much anything'll do! It's like making money from handshakes!
no subject
But, she blinks.]
So handshakes count? And what if it's not intended to harm... Just to warn?
no subject
Handshakes should be good, pal! I dunno about warning shots... I know stuff like wrestling and sparring can count, but that's different. Why, you wanna give out a bunch of warning hits?
no subject
[Sometimes a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.]
no subject
...Anyway, uh, any other questions?
no subject
[Surprising others being one of her personal favourites.]
So... You're just supposed to get on with your life like normal, or whatever constitutes normal here?
no subject
no subject
[Or at least that is where Rangiku's mind goes. Then again, not much of this really seems to make sense anyway.]
no subject
I think that covers most of the basics.
no subject
[Which is and isn't true. Rangiku can be quite intelligent, when she puts her mind to it. Otherwise, she tends to steer more towards lazy and trying to get others to go things, which sometimes is exactly what her master plans are.]
Ne, do you know about people who have left though?
no subject
[He chuckles. Gumshoe on the other hand, thinks that he's thought things through enough, but it ends up being Edgeworth and that lawyer Phoenix Wright who outthink and correct him.]
Oh yeah, that's a good thing to ask about too! See, as far as we can tell, no one's been able to leave this planet under their own power. I know some people who've gone from here, but they just poof away someday, without any explanation. Some people do end up back here eventually and remember this place. Apparently while we're here, it's like no time's passing back home... and we don't remember this place back home either.
no subject
[Which isn't a lie. He just likes his own work, not hers.
Her nose gives a little wrinkle though. Time being slower, fine, but stopping...? And how do people poof away. They must do something to make that happen.]
... so I'm not going to age a day? And if you come back, you don't remember what you did to leave?
no subject
[He does kinda like working himself. And he scratches his head, because time questions are hard to keep track of.]
W-well you might age here! Maybe it just gets undone when you go back home? I dunno! And, uh, yeah, no one's reported actually remembering how they got back home! So that's still a mystery, pal.
no subject
[Giving a little pout. Because that is boring. Her captain is young and should have some fun.]
... do people die here?
no subject
And the last subject is pretty sobering.]
....Um... yeah. Death's still a thing here. But people from other worlds like us, the 'Moonblessed'... I've heard reports of something weird. Instead of dying completely, they kinda turn to crystal for a few weeks before coming back to life. I've only heard about it in reports, but... pretty weird stuff. [He prefers to just not die to begin with.]
no subject
So if I see a humanoid crystal thing, I probably shouldn't touch it.

no subject
[She does manage to keep a straight face, for a moment anyway, before giving a wink.]
no subject
W-well.... I guess that'd be one way to help them feel alive!
