Exciting times, aren't they? I have to say all this idol hype is a little nostalgic. Even if I usually worked with independent groups, I do know a few pro idols back home! It's a tough life, but some people might say the reward is worth it.

With that said, though, I'm always interested to hear about the music industry in other worlds. What's popular where you come from? Or maybe more importantly, what's it like there? I know some of you come from some pretty different places, like that world where rap battles are a little more literal than most. That still throws me a little, but it sounds exciting, too, doesn't it?

Even if you're not in the music industry yourself, I'm sure you have a couple stories.

Not that we had much of that going, either. Most towns had maybe one bard, and then he moved on to another town and a new one moved in.

It just seemed normal to me, until I saw more organized music as the norm here...

I think that might be everyone's experience here, just not always with music. Sounds like you're pretty interested in how things go around here, though. Since I run a live house back home, I can't blame you. I've always liked seeing how people connect with their songs.

The implications of mass communications on music is something I've kinda been thinking about for a long time.

What is a 'live house', though?

A live music venue! It's got space for musical acts to practise and stages for them to perform, plus we have a concession out front for snack breaks. CiRCLE is geared toward young talent and girl bands specifically, just because there's not a lot of places just for them, but there are all kinds of live houses with different areas of focus and plenty that are just for everyone.

... One city big enough to support many of those. I mean, given Prismatica, I can believe it, but it's still mind-blowing to think about honestly...

Tokyo does have everything and then some. It's the same with Lunatia, really, although there hasn't been so much neon back home since I was a kid. It's all LEDs now and video screens. Technology marches ahead, they say. It must be hard to deal with if you're from such a different place.
