Exciting times, aren't they? I have to say all this idol hype is a little nostalgic. Even if I usually worked with independent groups, I do know a few pro idols back home! It's a tough life, but some people might say the reward is worth it.

With that said, though, I'm always interested to hear about the music industry in other worlds. What's popular where you come from? Or maybe more importantly, what's it like there? I know some of you come from some pretty different places, like that world where rap battles are a little more literal than most. That still throws me a little, but it sounds exciting, too, doesn't it?

Even if you're not in the music industry yourself, I'm sure you have a couple stories.

I suppose here, everyone's relationship status is complicated. Or at least most people's.

It is not something I am in a position to pursue.

That is alright. It is not a particularly sore subject, just one that is difficult to go into.

They are. I am truly fortunate to have the time I do here.

Sadly, as I think I've discussed before, there's no 'industry' for music - or honestly much of anything else - where I'm from. Just disorganized bards who steal songs from each other.

It doesn't sound that nice when you put it that way, but then, there's a case to be made for copyright being too restrictive. After all, art builds on art, and it's always good to hear someone's take on another's work!

Not that we had much of that going, either. Most towns had maybe one bard, and then he moved on to another town and a new one moved in.

It just seemed normal to me, until I saw more organized music as the norm here...

I think that might be everyone's experience here, just not always with music. Sounds like you're pretty interested in how things go around here, though. Since I run a live house back home, I can't blame you. I've always liked seeing how people connect with their songs.
