Exciting times, aren't they? I have to say all this idol hype is a little nostalgic. Even if I usually worked with independent groups, I do know a few pro idols back home! It's a tough life, but some people might say the reward is worth it.

With that said, though, I'm always interested to hear about the music industry in other worlds. What's popular where you come from? Or maybe more importantly, what's it like there? I know some of you come from some pretty different places, like that world where rap battles are a little more literal than most. That still throws me a little, but it sounds exciting, too, doesn't it?

Even if you're not in the music industry yourself, I'm sure you have a couple stories.

Ohh, but I'm not not sure where to start... fufu, shall we begin with musical genres? Dance numbers? The name of one's first unit? Perhaps something like who we idolize the most ourselves?

Oh, I'm no idol! I run a live house, actually, back home. I couldn't cut it as a performer, so I decided to devote my career to helping out the next new musicians. But tell me about your career! All those things you brought up sound interesting.

Are you sure you're not? An 'idol' can count people who do their best for others, don't you think?

Isn't that much more interesting to talk about than me? Fufufu ♪

I'm not so sure. Some people are just better off supporting others, I think, and that's what I am. I don't think I could ever be an idol. I know a few, and life seems a little hard for them sometimes, what with the fans and the media.

[regale]

[ Well they're not wrong. But how does he say that without it even being remotely like a complaint... hm. ]

Without the support of others, we would not be able to stand so radiantly on the stage.

Well, how about you talk about what's most important to you being an idol?

Currently, your Hibiki Wataru would say the most important thing is making people feel "amazing"! When someone looks at me with such awe and happiness, I feel like I have meaning to my existence!

It's perhaps tied with my personal like of performing with others. Such AMAZING things often happen when I am with them, after all ♪

That makes sense! I'm sure just hearing that makes a lot of people feel happy. Performing with other people can make everyone involved do better because you're all improving off of one another.

That's right. Even now, I get so excited when I can learn something new. Fufu, I am a little bit of a strict teacher in return, but the results have always come out well ♪

Now, please tell me about one of the units you have worked with!

Since you're an idol, you'll probably want to hear about professionals, right? I mostly work with independent groups, but I do know Pastel＊Palettes. They're an up-and-coming idol unit who took advantage of the boom of girl bands by playing their own instruments as well as singing!

Actually, at first they were made to lip-sync and fake playing their instruments, and there was a big scandal when people found out because of technical difficulties. Anyone would give up after that, but they didn't. Those girls got their manager to allow them to really perform their own music, and even when people were gossiping, they did whatever they could on their own to get the word out for their first real performance. It's that kind of honesty and hard work that made them as big as they are now, even if they're still the down-to-earth type. ...Well, Hina-chan's the off-in-space type, but I think she's always been that way.
