Hello everyone! Considering the unique opportunities of this world and it's assorted collection of individuals I felt it was worth reaching out with a question.

Or, several questions.

But first, if you know anything about the dead, undead, or similar to a dead state, please stay and listen!

Also, in this world and others there are great and amazing magics, right? The power to bring people back to life supposedly in some places.

So, what I wish to ask for is a bit of help on a small matter. How might one start in... reviving a body that has more or less stopped functioning, and bring it closer to... alive.

Also, I am not against suggestions of trying for completely new bodies or using a body that is lying around. If such soul transfers work.

The yomi Water where I’m from can keep a body in a semi-alive state, perfectly preserved, for at least a hundred years or more. But I’m not sure if that can really be used or applied like that.

Usually it corrupts the spirits of those already dead. But I’m not really sure if it could be sued differently?

I doubt his body will get worse at this point. But, the major issue is reversing it. I want to slide the scale closer to being alive than being dead. I would also rather not risk his consciousness.

The only beings capable of doing something similar in my world are the ones who can control creation. But they don't really bring the dead back to life so much as inhabit corpses.

I know a guy like that. We keep him in a turtle. Pulled it off with the- you called it a soul transfer? We did that.

It was a shitshow and I wouldn't have a clue how to repeat it. But if you figure it out and you have a spare turtle, I can confirm that he seems happy enough in there.

Soul snatching/swapping isn't exactly smiled upon in most cultures.

That is quite true, though his soul is still around so there is no snatching, and I would rather not swap.
