Hello everyone! Considering the unique opportunities of this world and it's assorted collection of individuals I felt it was worth reaching out with a question.
Or, several questions.
But first, if you know anything about the dead, undead, or similar to a dead state, please stay and listen!
Also, in this world and others there are great and amazing magics, right? The power to bring people back to life supposedly in some places.
So, what I wish to ask for is a bit of help on a small matter. How might one start in... reviving a body that has more or less stopped functioning, and bring it closer to... alive.
Ah, don't worry about the person, their consciousness is in perfect condition and is quite well.
[He sounds a little sheepish at that.]
Also, I am not against suggestions of trying for completely new bodies or using a body that is lying around. If such soul transfers work.
[Shouldn't he ask if Wen Ning is against that though!? Well, he would ask later if he had a good answer down that path.]
And, feel free to join in if you only know a little. The best research results are when one experiments with their ideas and talks to others about them!

Usually it corrupts the spirits of those already dead. But I’m not really sure if it could be sued differently?

Whether it's putting the soul in an old body or a new body. It hardly ever ends well.
[ Technically.... if you're an Ascian maybe.....? ]
The only beings capable of doing something similar in my world are the ones who can control creation. But they don't really bring the dead back to life so much as inhabit corpses.

I was dead and am now in a living body, so, it can't be that terrible.
Ah, ignoring what the original owner of this body did....

About the undead here.
[ Insert link. ]
And that is aside from necromancy being illegal here. I think Hanguang-jun will be upset if you get arrested.
private;
And how can they make something illegal that can't even be done?
I'm not going to let such silly things stop me from finding an answer to this problem!

[ Not that Ambrosine knows this, but HI this is the undead lich necromancer from the post that got linked by your friend. ]
You might want to be just a little more prudent with your inquiries in the future, but! Genuine lich and necromancer, here for any questions.
Private
[Really, anyone that would be against this was just cruel!]
But, a pleasure. I'm not sure what a lich is, but, I am familiar with necromancy.
Oh, have you found it difficult here?

Pretty sure there's some points that can't be returned from once they're passed.
At that point you might as well look for a new body.

But I'm gonna have to go with most everyone else, unless you have a seasoned cleric.
Soul snatching/swapping isn't exactly smiled upon in most cultures.
no subject
[Though his current life was what it was because of someone trading their soul for his, he did not approve of such things and did not want to sacrifice anyone.]
I would love to find such a cleric, to restore him fully would be a great a d wonderful thing.

What is wrong with you? You realize you're bordering on some mad scientist human experimentation level talk here? Do you not even see the problem with that??
