[ The video almost looks like the position a security camera might take, looking down at Finn's living room from a corner. For those that's been to his flat, they might remember a bookshelf is there. Anyway, the place is destroyed.

The couch is ripped apart, tables are broken, books are everywhere, a plant looks to have been torn from the pot and dragged through the white carpet, it's just bad.

The camera pans over towards the hallway where some big brown and black bird comes waddling into the room on webbed feet, head casually scanning on top of its long neck. ]

Can anyone tell me what this thing is. [ Oh, that's Finn's voice. He's whispering and, though he's not in view, sprawled on top of the bookcase. ] I found some shop and this guy told me that animals popped out of some sphere and I bought it because I wanted to see what it actually did and this thing-

[ The goose waddles over to the open wall closet, tugging on something inside until a jacket pulls free of a hanger, then proceeds to drag it through the dirt for no reason.

Finn speaks up. ] Why? You don't think you've done enou- [ The goose stops, flaps its impressive wingspan and hisses at him before folding its wings back and continues about its business.

After a beat- ] I didn't like that one anyway!

[ The goose stops again and looks at him, apparently annoyed now. It flaps its wings, lowers its neck parallel to the ground, and starts running- The camera shakes- ] No, no, no, no-! [ And the video ends. ]

... I'll keep that in mind. [ Literally. He's already reworking the shopping list in his mind. ]

[ Rey shakes her head, turning her hand so she can brush her fingers over the feathers on the underside of the goose's neck, gentle and careful so she can stop in case she does something he doesn't like. ]

No. I couldn't have afforded having another mouth to feed. Having one now... might be possible, but it'd have to be something that wouldn't mind D-0.

[ What's a-... That sounds like a droid's name. ]

[ She looks confused for a moment, before realizing he's asking for clarification. ]

Oh he's- he's a droid that came back with me, after everything that happened. He belonged to Ochi, the assassin that- [ She hesitates, biting her lip and furrowing her brow momentarily before continuing. ] -that killed my parents. He mistreated him, so he's a bit jumpy.

Oh. [ He doesn't really know what to say about D-0's shared past with Rey but he does at least look sorry to hear it... Then his brow scrunches and he blinks at the floor. ]

BB-8 was with my in Vaikuntha. We left together to try going home, but he didn't follow me here. I... guess that means he made it?

As far as I know. He was with me before I returned here. I'm surprised he didn't come through with me, like D-0 did. I hope he's okay.

[ Though experience has told her that they seem to return to exact points of time, with no memory of this place, she's still unsure, and her concern for the droid is just one of a thousand worries she has. BB-8 could take care of himself, after all. ]

[ Finn nods. It's not that he doesn't think BB can handle himself (because wow he definitely knows otherwise now). He just knows how bad the place between can be, how lonely.

But the droid had to go through to something...

Before he can think anymore about it, the goose HONKS in his face. ]

Um. Rey, do you have anymore of that, uh-?

[ Rey blinks, surprised at the goose honk before letting out a short laugh, nodding her head and digging into her bag again. Of course Rey has more she carries enough food on her at any given moment that if she gets surprise holed up somewhere she won't starve. ]

Here, you feed him.

[ She holds another bit of granola bar out to Finn. ]

Hold it out in your palm, don't give him room to nip at your fingers.

[ This is probably going to end in him losing a hand somehow. Or maybe a finger. Don said something about their teeth?

Anyway, he tries to do as told and trust the Jedi. He holds the food out as far as he can reach, palm flat and hopefully far away from something evil. The goose doesn't seem to care and gobbles it up. ]

Oh... That worked.

[ Rey smiles, bumping Finn’s shoulder with her own as she fishes more food out of her pack ]

I told you. Everything gets hungry. Hopefully if you feed him enough, he won’t want to attack you anymore.
