[It was like, 3 in the morning, and Lio was laying in bed while restlessly typing this on his phone, the subject of the post laying next to him and almost certainly drooling in his sleep.]
To whom it may concern.
If you see an idiot firefighter running around the city shirtless at any point, look with your eyes, not your hands. Actually, I'd prefer if you kept your eyes above the chin.
He's mine.
[Happy first day of Sanguis!]

I can see why you're worried about him...

I don't know. I wasn't there.
I'm not letting him run off on his own like that again.

I honestly can't recall off the top of my head how much protection they provide, but it sounds like he was still pushing it well past it's limits if he had one at all.
That's a good idea, though. This place is usually safe, but when things do go bad it tends to be a quick drop into extremely dangerous territory.
[Ren, ever the MomFriend, sees absolutely nothing wrong with being protective over someone that trouble-prone.]

[Lio could use at least one mom friend around to keep an eye on Galo, especially given Aina wasn't around to fill in that role anymore.]
I told him I didn't agree with the attack on those cultists, but he didn't seem to understand that meant I didn't want him to go. I should have known better than to have assumed.

[Just casually throws someone he doesn't know under the proverbial bus, nbd. Sorry, Galo.]

[Lio is not a fan of them.]

[Rude!]

At least firefighters are trying to rescue people.
[Lio has absolutely turned this into a contest.]

She joined because it was the closest thing to being a Huntswoman here. Huntsmen and Huntswoman actually do help people in Remnant. We're supposed to be protectors, especially for those who can't protect themselves against creatures of Grimm.
[You're welcome to try to turn it into a contest but Ren is going to be logical about it.]
It might not have been her first choice, I don't know. She arrived before me and I wasn't here when she joined them.

Particularly one that imprisons a significant portion of its population in an underground facility with resource shortages and blackouts.

It's a horrible place. Most of the people I've seen down there are just trying to survive - and they're being taken advantage of by those who've hoarded the most resources.

[He's not sure what to think. On one hand they can't just let actual criminals run around Lunatia doing whatever they please, but on the other hand inhumane treatment was likely going overboard, especially for minor offenses.
But he can't picture Weiss, the former heiress that has come such a long way in her compassion and understanding of other people to be okay with something like this.
Maybe... Maybe she doesn't know?]
no subject
I'm not going to sit idly by while such a place exists.
no subject
[Why do so many of their efforts to do good come back to bite them in the ass?]
I'll have to talk to her later.
For what it's worth I think she's the only one of us that joined.

I didn't expect anyone here to listen to me. From what I can tell, a lot of people put a significant amount of faith and trust in the Moon Knights.

[To say nothing of Qrow's literal bad luck Semblance.]
I believe a lot of worlds generally have authority figures similar to police or military. Remnant has those as well but Huntsmen deal with the things they can't, especially outside any of the protected cities.
People generally want to believe others are inherently good, and it can be difficult for some to accept that entire group can easily be so... corrupted or drunk on power.

I'm not sure I believe in an 'uncorrupt' government anymore.

What do you mean 'people like you', if you don't mind me asking.

Still...]
They persecuted you for that?

It started with mass incarceration, then devolved into human experimentation. By the time I started fighting back in earnest, the government - the Foresight Foundation, their sceintists, and their task force - had already had plans set in motion to use us as fuel in their machines.
It's over now, thank god, but the anger and paranoia I have for people like that are never going to go away.

Good Gods.
[Treatment of Faunus back in Remnant was awful even at the best of times, and many did die in less than ideal conditions in Dust mines or as a result of poor resources, but to be literally turned in to fuel--
It makes his stomach churn.]
