[It was like, 3 in the morning, and Lio was laying in bed while restlessly typing this on his phone, the subject of the post laying next to him and almost certainly drooling in his sleep.]

To whom it may concern.

If you see an idiot firefighter running around the city shirtless at any point, look with your eyes, not your hands. Actually, I'd prefer if you kept your eyes above the chin.

He's mine.

[Lio snorted, hiding his face against Galo's chest.]

Don't call them that.

[He was secretly going to call them that in his head now.]

I don't know... I don't think you're aware of how conventionally attractive you are, Galo. It bothered me, before, seeing people look at you the way I'd look at you. It's been really bothering me tonight. But at least now I can finally say you're mine.

( too late, he will forever be a four eyes without glasses. this meant he could have up to eight, if somehow he could wear something that covered his upper and his lower eyes at the same time! )

Me? Attractive? ( that's the first time he's ever heard that before. ) No way, everyone just thinks I'm really cool! You think I'm cool, right?

( he reached up to stroke the back of lio's head. )

... wait. I'm yours?

( pikagasp )

[Lio laughed some more, nuzzling into his chest.]

It's just as I thought... you really don't know. Galo, you're gorgeous, especially when you run around without a shirt on. And yes, I think you're cool.

[He'd given up on not going heavy on the praise. Only one whole hour of trying not to stroke his ego, and he failed.

That pause, as Galo realized what Lio said, was... adorable.

Lio sat up slightly, looking at him with a furrowed brow and a grin.]

... If you want to be. I'll be yours.

( my god. lio doesn't know it, but he's unlocked a part of galo that he never truly understood. was his chest that powerful? it must be if lio is complimenting it that much. funny enough galo didn't think it was that impressive, he just liked the feeling of wind on his nips. )

Of course I want you to be! I can't imagine anyone else.

( he can't think of anyone else that he'd ask to be his, nor anyone in the future. after all, they were basically linked together by their experiences together.

and lio was equally attractive, not just in body but in his attitude. his poise and strength, his ability to lead... he loved that. )

Then it's settled.

[Lio leaned forward to kiss him on the bridge of his nose.]

I'm yours, and you're mine.

[And then he settled more fully back on Galo's chest, tracing his collar with his index finger lazily as he let out a hefty sigh.]

I hope you don't mind, me being... this selfish of you. Wanting you all to myself. I don't think it comes from a place of insecurity. To be honest I'm not sure where it's coming from. I just have this urge, to keep you close, to tell the whole world who you belong to. Maybe I'll be better about it once we've been together longer.

( that sounded intense. like, ridiculously so. he was positive it came from a good place, but nonetheless he was a little worried. though he also didn't disagree with those feelings; lio was allowed to feel this way. maybe some of it came from being displaced from their home world, and from missing their friends as well...

he's not worried.

snuggling lio closer, galo closed his eyes as he felt his phone slip down and off his side. )

As long as you don't get into any fights over me, sure. ( he's joking. ) I know you'll make the right decisions, Lio. We're still settling in, after all.

[It was Sanguis. Lio didn't know it yet, wouldn't know it til it became a recurring problem, but the moon was already messing with his head. For now he chalked it up to what Galo was assuming - some kind of weirdness that would go away with the newness of their relationship.]

I can't promise I wont.

[He said it seriously, because he meant it. If someone tried to touch Galo without Lio or Galo's explicit consent, if they looked at him with suggestive eyes, cat called him, anything of the matter, Lio was pretty sure he'd fling all 160 odd pounds of himself at them with fists flying.

He kissed Galo's collarbone.]

Maybe try to keep a shirt on in public, bring a spare if you have to, for my sake. Don't need me getting arrested for giving the first person to wolf whistle at you a black eye.

( the weirdness was something he was expecting in the first place, but he did raise an eyebrow at lio's request. wearing a shirt...? him? galo thymos, not letting his chest breathe (and it needed a lot of air)? the thought of it was uncomfortable.

but he kept that quiet. it's not like lio would become galo's personal tiddy protector, right? )

I'll try my best, for you.

( it'd be difficult but he really would. )

[Lio could tell Galo wasn't a fan of that suggestion. He knew the man didn't like wearing shirts, he didn't think it would be that much of a bummer for him to be forced into one. He felt a bit bad, then, for bringing it up in the first place.

Lio shrugged and leaned up a little higher, kissing Galo's throat this time.]

And I'll try my best to learn to be okay with it, for you, so you can run around half naked again to your heart's content.

It's not like I don't personally enjoy it.

( ooh. a throat kiss... he liked that. something about having lio's lips there made him shiver. )

Just think about it like this: others might get to look, but I share a bed with only one other person!

[Oh, Lio could feel that Galo liked that. He kissed him on the throat again, biting down this time, gently, but hard enough that he was intending to leave a mark. Maybe if he marked him, people would realize Galo was his and back off.]

Mmn, you make a compelling argument, Thymos.

Figured I'd be able to convince you.

( besides. the last thing he wanted to do was upset lio, not because of the potential consequences, but because he really did care about the other's feelings. doesn't hurt to mention that bite got him to widen his eyes as he half-worried that he might go a little harder and potentially hurt him, but... )

W-whoa! ( thinking. ) Your teeth are a lot sharper than I remember.

( also galo couldn't recall the last time he got bit. )

[Oh Lio wasn't going to notice that change til morning.]

Oh? And how would you remember how sharp my teeth are, Thymos?

[Lio would never hurt Galo, not intentionally. He thought he was being gentle enough, but if Galo's skin was sensitive or if he was underestimating his strength, he'd dial it down. So he changed to sucking softly on the skin where he bit instead, giving the bite a small lick, as if he were an animal licking at a wound.]

Mmn, sorry, you need to sleep. But you're irresistable, you know.

You've never bitten me before, so I just kinda assumed it'd feel different.

( the suck made him huff, low and deep and shallow noises as he did his best to not embarrass himself with much more... ah, lewd sounds. it was like lio was drawing the chroma to the surface, and there wasn't much he could do but lie there and take it. )

God, Lio. You're being too nice. ( at least, it felt like they were nice words? definitely nothing borderline obsessive or anything. )

And you better sleep too!

If you don't like it, I won't do it anymore.

[He hoped he hadn't made Galo uncomfortable, though the gentle sucking apparently was a bigger hit with the firefighter than the biting.

Lio liked those little reactions he was getting, but decided to restrain himself, not keep Galo up any more with this. He pet the spot gently on his throat with his index finger where he'd left a small bruise and settled back down completely.]

Nice? I woke you up over some silly jealousy while you're trying to recover, and I bit you. I'm acting like a jerk - the least I can do is tell you why. The reason being, as I said, you're irresistible.

[Lio closed his eyes, continuing to stroke the little spot he left, sighing softly.]

I'm a terrible sleeper. I should have warned you, before sharing a bed with you.

Lio, I trust you. I know you'll never hurt me to just hurt me. ( he'd gently brush his fingers through lio's hair, down to the back of his neck where he'd give that a soft squeeze as well. ) And it's okay to be jealous! I can't fault you for that, because you really care about me.

( then he smirked. )

The jerk part, well. You can ease up on that a little.

( perhaps the easiest way to help lio sleep would be to... squeeze him as hard as he could against his chest. this seemed reasonable. )

I bet you just didn't have the right pillows before. I can help with that.

[Lio's lips parted with that gentle squeeze of his neck, though he only dared to let out a gentle breath, rather than the moan that was sitting heavy in his chest.]

It's not just about not hurting you - I want to make sure you're into it - hrrk!

[He grunted as he was squished so hard the breath was knocked right out of his lungs. He smacked Galo's arm - his right arm - roughly, trying to get him to let go.]

S-stop it with the bear hug, I can't breathe!

( okay, he does let go and with furrowed brows, was now extremely worried about what might come of this. with a soft nuzzle, galo chuckled as he continued to rest his arms around lio, his hands joined at the small of his back. )

How do you feel now?

( and he closed his eyes, hoping that death wasn't about to come for him at that very moment. )

[Lio let out an annoyed breath, though he was melting down into Galo's body now that he'd loosened his grip, face pressed into his chest.]

You have no idea how lucky you are that I like you.

[He closed his eyes, nuzzling further into his pecs as his breathing slowed.]

Warm...

( yes, sink into his bosom. become one with the valley. )

I know I'm lucky. ( quite aware of his fortunate, tbh. ) And you're warm too.

( probably the last thing he said before he started to snore. good night. )

No I'm not.

[The words were only just muttered, right as those snores hit Lio's ears.

Probably for the best.

Lio smiled and let himself also drift off, content to leave things the way they were for the night.
