I find myself often fantasizing about putting a leash on my wayward stray myself. His tendency to seek thrills and get lost is remarkable.

Mine is prone to throwing himself headfirst into a fight without a weapon and getting bruised ribs in the process. I can't say if he's prone to other sorts of trouble, though I'd rather not find out.

I have absolutely no idea. He just doesn't like wearing shirts.

Part of it, I think, was they tended to get burned or damaged whenever he did rescue work. Now I think he's just made a habit out of never wearing one.
