[the video shows a white rabbit wearing a sunhat with holes that her long ears slip easily into. she's got a bit of dirt smudged on her face, and in the background is a wooden exterior of a shed. there are some saplings behind her too.]
You know, if I was born a large carnivore instead of a small herbivore, I think I'd have started up some kind of brothel here...probably would have made good money in a place like this.
[that. sure is a way to get attention!]
Anyway, I'm only a small carnivore here some of the time, and there already seem to be plenty of those kinds of places. Ever since I arrived here and when the weather started getting nicer, I noticed that we were missing something...
[Haru swaps the camera to face forward, and pans a bit, showing off a relatively sparse, fenced-in lot with a good amount of raised plots of soil and flower beds already started. after a moment of showing off, she switches it back to herself.]
So! I've started up a community garden for...mostly myself honestly, but it's open for anyone else to sign up and use. I was setting up all day yesterday, and it's kind of been slow going. In highschool I managed the gardening club all on my own so I can do this by myself, but if anyone wants to stop by and help I'll treat you to some lunch! I know it's Sanguis right now, so plenty of you are stronger than usual... [she brings her free hand up to rub under her nose, smudging more dirt on her face as she mumbles:] you could probably put that to good use.
Anyway, feel free to stop by, even if it's just to sign up for your own plot of land. If nobody signs up then it's not too bad...it just means more space for me to grow my babies.
[attached to this post is the address, where the community garden is located on a once-vacant lot in Lunatia, Level 2. a sign up sheet is posted on the front door of the shed, and anyone is free to stop by and do their own thing at the gardens for the month of May.]

ah.]
About as rude as it would be to say that you're a human. My name's Haru.
[just!! to put that out there so she isn't known as 'rabbit girl'.]
But yes, I really like gardening. I'm studying botany in college back home.

[ He's awkward. Especially around girls. I'm so sorry. ]
My, uh, my name's Shogo. I should have led with that.
[ He can be awkward dude.... he'd deserve it. But at least gardening is a totally normal topic that he can segue to. ]
That's cool. Like, the science kind of botany, or like agriculture?

[she doesn't look particularly put off, more amused if anything. she's used to awkward guys, but she's also used to speaking her mind too.]
I'm only a first year student at college, so we're starting out with basic science and taxonomy. But when I graduate I'm hoping to open a store where I sell all sorts of plants, so I'm more interested in actually growing and selling them.
I don't think I'm cut to be a scientist.

Still, that's really cool that you're studying for it and everything. Getting into a university for that in the first place is a big deal.
[ Especially in Japan. Which is his only point of reference. He's just very proud. ]
You should do whatever you want to do. You can't know you're not cut out for it until you try, right?

[she is a simple rabbit! and her furry world is pretty Japan-adjacent in some respect, so the sentiment isn't lost on her.]
I think I definitely want to own a plant shop that sells all kind of plants. But that will be for when I'm an adult back home, not here, of course.

[ He wouldn't want to be one either, tbh. Good for her, knowing what she wants. ]
Yeah, it'd probably take a few years to get to that point, huh? I'd hope we wouldn't be here that long.

[Not for animals like...the other ones. The ones that are okay to eat here, who don't speak or seem to think beyond that of their most primal instincts.]
It helps that there are animals from home that I know who are also stuck here.

[ It kind of tracks, meat comes from cows who are indeed herbivores. He'd never want to eat rabbit after meeting her, but some people eat that too right? That seems bad. ]
That's lucky. I showed up with one of my classmates kinda so I get it. He's kind of a pain in the ass, but it's nice being on the same page with somebody.
