[the video shows a white rabbit wearing a sunhat with holes that her long ears slip easily into. she's got a bit of dirt smudged on her face, and in the background is a wooden exterior of a shed. there are some saplings behind her too.]
You know, if I was born a large carnivore instead of a small herbivore, I think I'd have started up some kind of brothel here...probably would have made good money in a place like this.
[that. sure is a way to get attention!]
Anyway, I'm only a small carnivore here some of the time, and there already seem to be plenty of those kinds of places. Ever since I arrived here and when the weather started getting nicer, I noticed that we were missing something...
[Haru swaps the camera to face forward, and pans a bit, showing off a relatively sparse, fenced-in lot with a good amount of raised plots of soil and flower beds already started. after a moment of showing off, she switches it back to herself.]
So! I've started up a community garden for...mostly myself honestly, but it's open for anyone else to sign up and use. I was setting up all day yesterday, and it's kind of been slow going. In highschool I managed the gardening club all on my own so I can do this by myself, but if anyone wants to stop by and help I'll treat you to some lunch! I know it's Sanguis right now, so plenty of you are stronger than usual... [she brings her free hand up to rub under her nose, smudging more dirt on her face as she mumbles:] you could probably put that to good use.
Anyway, feel free to stop by, even if it's just to sign up for your own plot of land. If nobody signs up then it's not too bad...it just means more space for me to grow my babies.
[attached to this post is the address, where the community garden is located on a once-vacant lot in Lunatia, Level 2. a sign up sheet is posted on the front door of the shed, and anyone is free to stop by and do their own thing at the gardens for the month of May.]

I thought so too! I've been spending a lot of time taking care of all the public plants that are around the city, but I figured it was time for there to be a space I could call my own.
I wound up with a lot of land with this abandoned lot, so a community garden made the most sense.

I don't think it matters whether you're a large carnivore or a small herbivore, you should be able to run the kind of business you want!
[...]
But I think I definitely like the idea of a garden better than a, um, brothel.
video,
Brothels and gardens are kind of similar in that way, but since I'm a herbivore I love plants and flowers a lot. Plus you can grow things to eat.
[sorry Reimi this line of logic really makes the most sense where she's from......]

Melandru bless all these cute creatures and moonblessed and prismals. As homesick as Ana might be there is a lot to love about this place.
And some things that are a little more annoying, like the fact that Sanguis is in full effect and she's got those damned dragon horns and vines coming out of her head again. Such a pain.
BUT. A community garden has her too excited to care, hands clasped together happily as she starts her reply.]
That is a wonderful idea! I grew up on a farm so I would absolutely love to have a plot!

hm hm no she doesn't want to be a landlord or anything.......]
I have a sign up sheet hanging up on the shed! It probably makes more sense to try to set something up to fill out online, but I like having paper copies to look over.
You can stop by any time and sign up, you're not limited to one kind of plot. You'll just have to bring your own seeds and starters, but I have plenty of gardening tools to borrow and use while you're here.

About as rude as it would be to say that you're a human. My name's Haru.

But yes, I really like gardening. I'm studying botany in college back home.

That sounds interesting. I never really took care of a garden before. The one back home was mostly taken care of by my mentor...
Is it hard?
Text;
There can be a bit of a learning curve, but there are a ton of plants out there you could grow that are pretty hard to have die on you.
I have small planters available if you want something easy to start with. And I'd be happy to show you the ropes when I can! Technically it's what I would have done if anyone joined the gardening club at my school...

Sure! It's a community garden and so it's open for the community to use and rent out.
There's a sign up form on the premises! It just makes it easier for me to keep track of things that way, plus when you're there you can choose the spot yourself.

I have a few heavy pots and planters by the curb that need moving, and some more bricks coming in to set up more plots of soil. I'll also need help setting up a shady spot until the trees grow in for some decent coverage...

I'll help out too, if ya need. Sanguis, if it helps my resume any.
[she's decent enough at reading people where she knows that people looking at her are giving her pause. here it's more that these humans aren't used to talking rabbits though, and she at least will take that over pity.]
Only if you want to help out! Being Sanguis will definitely help, I know the moon makes you guys stronger than usual. But all you have to do is sign up if you want to start growing.

This is a great idea, but... I gotta ask. Why'd a brothel come to mind first?

Why, this sounds lovely! I’m sure there are many of us who cannot wait to join you.
For my part, I was wondering if you would be willing to teach me how to properly tend to flowers. Yours are beautiful—I’ve never seen anything like them!

the latter is more familiar, and while it does irk her a tiny bit, she also knows it can't be helped. she's cute, and she's aware of it! and this human seems nice.]
I'm kind of surprised how many people here are interested in the garden. I was kind of thinking this would be a total flop like how posting for the gardening club had been.
A few others have asked me how to garden so I'd certainly be able to show you how to tend to the flowers as they grow.

This is kind of what the gardening club was like! But when I joined all the plants and flowers were already established. Here, I'm starting from the ground up.
[hah hah get it.]
It'll be a lot of upkeep though so I think I'll have to sell some things at the greenmarket periodically. Obviously it won't be competing with your farm!

I have a garden growing on top of my cafe for a few things, but I have a friend named Haru who did some growing on top of our school. I'm sure she'd love to help you with something like this. I'd help too, of course, but I have to let her know if she hasn't contacted you yet.
video;
She's a human female, right?
[......obviously....]
I haven't heard from her yet but if she wanted to join I'd definitely welcome it. You're of course also free to sign up and use a plot for some extra growing space.

Oh! That's who you are. Huh, don't know why Louis would make fun of your fur...you look like a normal bear to me.
[see she remembers!]
There have definitely been plenty of people volunteering, but a bear would definitely be welcome help. There are a few heavier trees I want to pick up and move...plus your claws will also be great for tilling the soil in the areas I haven't touched yet.

Oh? A flower shop here or back where you're from? I have large and small plots available to rent, and planters of all sizes if you're not ready to commit to a lot of ground just yet.
I haven't gotten sign-ups established for online...signing up, but there's a paper posted up on the garden's shed for anyone to sign up. Plus you can pick your space then and there.

[Like, yay, gardening, that too is great, but also: that opening sentence.]
voice;
Sex made me feel good, plus being a carnivore would mean I probably wouldn't enjoy plants and veggies as much as I do as a herbivore, so starting a brothel would make more sense than starting a plant store.
[it's logical, ok!!]
Plus I'm not being entirely serious about the brothel thing. I was born a rabbit and that doesn't change where I'm from.
