You know, if I was born a large carnivore instead of a small herbivore, I think I'd have started up some kind of brothel here...probably would have made good money in a place like this.

[that. sure is a way to get attention!]

Anyway, I'm only a small carnivore here some of the time, and there already seem to be plenty of those kinds of places. Ever since I arrived here and when the weather started getting nicer, I noticed that we were missing something...

[Haru swaps the camera to face forward, and pans a bit, showing off a relatively sparse, fenced-in lot with a good amount of raised plots of soil and flower beds already started. after a moment of showing off, she switches it back to herself.]

So! I've started up a community garden for...mostly myself honestly, but it's open for anyone else to sign up and use. I was setting up all day yesterday, and it's kind of been slow going. In highschool I managed the gardening club all on my own so I can do this by myself, but if anyone wants to stop by and help I'll treat you to some lunch! I know it's Sanguis right now, so plenty of you are stronger than usual... [she brings her free hand up to rub under her nose, smudging more dirt on her face as she mumbles:] you could probably put that to good use.

Anyway, feel free to stop by, even if it's just to sign up for your own plot of land. If nobody signs up then it's not too bad...it just means more space for me to grow my babies.

[attached to this post is the address, where the community garden is located on a once-vacant lot in Lunatia, Level 2. a sign up sheet is posted on the front door of the shed, and anyone is free to stop by and do their own thing at the gardens for the month of May.]

Oh! That's who you are. Huh, don't know why Louis would make fun of your fur...you look like a normal bear to me.

There have definitely been plenty of people volunteering, but a bear would definitely be welcome help. There are a few heavier trees I want to pick up and move...plus your claws will also be great for tilling the soil in the areas I haven't touched yet.

It's annoying. I'm used to wearing clothes. Maybe he meant things well I don't-

[He shakes it off]

Just let me know when you need me. I don't normally garden but it'd help get rid of the excess energy.

[He stares at his claws and shrugs his shoulders]

I suppose despite the bear...ness I got off light when it comes to a lot of the other sanguis abilities.

[hold the phone]

[He is a full on Grizzly bear.]

There's no places that sell stuff like that unless somebody hasn't told me something.

[ah right. grizzly bears get pretty big naturally....]

I'm sure there has to be...someplace that sells extra-large clothes for extra-large carnivores, right?

[Probably because he likes to throw his weight around.] That said I admit...I've never considered it. This stuff happens - also -

[It's hard to wrap his mind around. He nods.] Still weird that animals wear clothing and that they even can.

[this rabbit has hit him different. She's hit him hard too. He's never thought about it.]

I have a friend who can help though. I promise to be decent if you're still interested in my help.

Most animals have to wear clothes where I'm from. Some of them can get away with it... [like bats for some reason. and snakes for obvious reasons.] but bears definitely don't walk around nude.

I'm still interested in your help, but you should at least put some bottoms on.

[It's embarrassing. And he's never owned that until now, but. Studying the feed, the bear nods slowly. Just accept it. 4 days out of the month he's a half-ton bear.]

I'll go do that now.

[He shakes his head] I still can't get my mind around animals doing human jobs. Makes me want to talk to your deer friend again and find out just what he does for a living.

[honestly he's lucky he's not a bear in her world, at least. they have to take suppressants to manage their signs.

she does frown a bit when he says "human jobs" though.]

They're just...jobs. [it's that simple! she doesn't understand why it's so hard for humans to understand.] And I know Louis is taking classes here. Not sure if he has a job yet. We're the same age, so he should be in college.

[notice how she says "should" because she doesn't really know what Louis is up to.]

Back home his dad is the head of a big business, though.

[Catching the jobs she might notice that he's moving a bit as he talks. Suppressants? Fuck that.]

What do your parents do?

Nothing really remarkable. My mom stays home and my dad works at an office.

[she shrugs.]

My family's pretty normal.

[He's wild.]

What kind of plants am I digging for? When I show up.

Nothing too complicated, just a few saplings. Bear claws are great for digging deep holes.
