video | un: springtime
[the video shows a white rabbit wearing a sunhat with holes that her long ears slip easily into. she's got a bit of dirt smudged on her face, and in the background is a wooden exterior of a shed. there are some saplings behind her too.]
You know, if I was born a large carnivore instead of a small herbivore, I think I'd have started up some kind of brothel here...probably would have made good money in a place like this.
[that. sure is a way to get attention!]
Anyway, I'm only a small carnivore here some of the time, and there already seem to be plenty of those kinds of places. Ever since I arrived here and when the weather started getting nicer, I noticed that we were missing something...
[Haru swaps the camera to face forward, and pans a bit, showing off a relatively sparse, fenced-in lot with a good amount of raised plots of soil and flower beds already started. after a moment of showing off, she switches it back to herself.]
So! I've started up a community garden for...mostly myself honestly, but it's open for anyone else to sign up and use. I was setting up all day yesterday, and it's kind of been slow going. In highschool I managed the gardening club all on my own so I can do this by myself, but if anyone wants to stop by and help I'll treat you to some lunch! I know it's Sanguis right now, so plenty of you are stronger than usual... [she brings her free hand up to rub under her nose, smudging more dirt on her face as she mumbles:] you could probably put that to good use.
Anyway, feel free to stop by, even if it's just to sign up for your own plot of land. If nobody signs up then it's not too bad...it just means more space for me to grow my babies.
[attached to this post is the address, where the community garden is located on a once-vacant lot in Lunatia, Level 2. a sign up sheet is posted on the front door of the shed, and anyone is free to stop by and do their own thing at the gardens for the month of May.]

video;
the grumpiness washes over her, not phasing her much.]
I have a few heavy pots and planters by the curb that need moving, and some more bricks coming in to set up more plots of soil. I'll also need help setting up a shady spot until the trees grow in for some decent coverage...
no subject
I can move whatever you need.
[ He looks like a pretty, probably fragile boy, but looks can be decieving. He frowns a little at her. ]
Are you okay with dogs, though? Or should I leave Fairy at home.
no subject
she perks up at him mentioning the dog.]
Oh! I'm good with canines! The guy I'm seeing is a grey wolf.
[just roll with it, ok?]
I'm assuming Fairy is one of those...non-speaking dogs though, right? As long as she behaves and doesn't try to dig up any of the newly planted trees.

Like, his moon makes him a wolf, or-- Wait, it's not Iris yet. Does that mean you're normally like this?
[ rude ass teenager is rude....
he seems to catch himself, though, and clears his throat and looks away a little. ]
Anyway, yeah, she doesn't speak. That doesn't make her a regular dog, though!! She's a spirit dog, one of the best there ever was, and she is better behaved than most people. She won't cause you any trouble at all.
no subject
...well, except when it actually is Iris, then I change. He's gotten a bit more wolfy last month...
[her voice trails off, thoughtful, but she isn't really one to talk about that sort of thing with strangers.]
What's a spirit dog? Is it a kind of species where you're from?
no subject
[ His cheeks tinge a bit pink again. That's cute? She's cute. Fuck. He clears his throat. ]
Are you a rabbit for Iris too? [ Totally blissfully unaware that this would be a Weird Thing to talk about with strangers. ] I'm not a rabbit, though one of my -- [ The slightest hesitation ] close friends is. He turns completely into a rabbit. I just get stupid fawn antlers. My other-- close friend-- is a wolf during Sanguis, though. Way cooler. Slightly terrifying.
[ Anyway, MOVING ON. ]
No, it designates her abilities, not her species. She's bred specifically to be able to help in night hunts, to detect spirits and ghosts, to be able to help defend from them and ward them off, that sort of thing. She's way smarter than your average dog.
no subject
No, I turn into a vampire bat, mostly. Right down to wanting to drink blood which is...very not rabbit-like. [she notices his hesitation, but isn't going to bother a stranger about it.] Antlers are nice though. One of my [ex lover?? well, she can't exactly say good friend....hm] classmates was a deer. A lot of female students went crazy over how good-looking he was, partly because of the antlers.
[if you're into that sort of thing!]
And...well, the average dogs where I come from are really smart. They always wind up in special classes because of their heightened intelligence...so you saying that is saying a lot.
no subject
He lowered his hand. ]
She is really smart! [ He defended. ] She doesn't - she doesn't speak like you do, but that doesn't mean she isn't really smart! She's smarter than most people, and way more loyal.
[ But now he's imagining studying with dogs that can talk to him... ]
So... where you come from... is everyone an animal?
