[Anyone watching this might have to do a second take, maybe check their calendars really quick. Despite that it's been over a week since BTSB was dealt with, there is still a Kaya keychain dangling not two inches from Kamui's ear. It's clipped to Kamui's parasol where half of a BTSB poster is still displaying five fox boy torsos.

Kamui himself is sporting a sullen pout rather than his characteristic smile. His problems are about to become everyone's problems because what's the point of everyone else if not to serve as his punching bags? Seriously.] I've never seen a music group attack their own audience before. It was really exciting, you know? I thought this planet had finally gotten something right. But there's not a single other band in this city with any sense for entertainment!

Not one of them is willing to take me on, let alone challenge their entire fanbase.

[This is so disappointing, you guys!! He'd thought all bands on Prismatica must have had the same mucho grande sized balls as BTSB, but it's just not true! You went and chased off Kamui's favorite new thing!]

If you all can't make a proper battle band, I'll have to do it for you.

We knocked some sense into them.

Most of them came to their senses after that. It's not like we went out trying to kill them.

[ Oh god is he another person who's chill with murder, how does Shogo keep finding these people. ]

[Well, the poor guy did respond to a video lamenting that more bands don't attack their audiences. He might have brought this on himself, just a tad.]

No. That makes it mandatory.

That's how it works on every world. When someone attacks with killing intent, respond in kind.

Ah. Unless you weren't taking them seriously?

I mean, most of them were just depressed. It would've been pretty awful to kill them for that.

[ Alas, the worst person was already on his team and there's no killing between teammates. ]

[Kamui would disagree with that rule, sadly. Teammates are free game as soon as they're more trouble than they're worth. Everyone else is free game from the start. His condescending snort makes that sentiment clear enough.]

If you always put your enemies first like that, you'd better be strong enough to win with one hand. The other will be weighed down by your comrades' corpses.

I just don't think people deserve to die for something they did while they were messed up. Atoning for your mistakes is a lot harder than just dying.

[Not even Kamui can argue with that. Dying is easy, terribly so. But that still doesn't change the fact that this strange, strange person is putting his enemies' chance for atonement above his own goals.

Kamui knows a few other people who are that way too. In the end, he was the one who benefited from their efforts. Some people are just incurably stupid.]

So what are you atoning for then?

[ Some people really are stupid, that's the truth. Shogo might take this as more of a win if it hadn't also come back to bite him because Boy Does He Have Guilt. ]

I made a mistake and someone close to me died because of it. That's all I'm really willing to say.

[ He definitely wouldn't have gotten those words out if he wasn't from the end of the game. ]

[Kamui has spent a decade very deliberately not addressing his own guilt. It's always a fun time.]
