✨ Video ☆ UN: Mr. Swift ✨
[It’s a rough world to be in for someone who is unfamiliar with the technology and is lacking the attention span to keep at it. But he's nothing if not determined! As a result some of those tuning into this network post might notice how scripted the attached video sounds. All due to the fact that it's been recorded then trashed several times until a good take was captured.]
[As for the man caught on film he looks so old-timey circus it ought to be a parody. But it isn't.]
It’s my birthday today! 'Why is that important' you may ask? Because you don’t know me and certainly I don’t know you. Well, let me tell you!
[The video pans away from the smiley individual to a cake that looks quite like this and then back. If Mike hadn't been raised in the circus he might've been destined to be a chef.]
Now I’ve gone ahead and baked this cake. But I've only recently arrived so I don’t have enough people here that I can share it with. Now isn’t that just something? It’s a real problem I have on my hands. So, I need some volunteers.
[The perspective settles on the counter so he can point directly at the camera. You, yes you, imaginary audience member.]
But there’s a catch! You’ve got to introduce yourself and let me know what you lot do around here for fun. It’s a fair trade, I think.

[Mike sticks his tongue out. Blep. Being a lion, however, was kinda cool.]
But I'm all for making a cake delivery. Just as long as I can figure out how coordinates work on this doohickey?
no subject
[She laughs it was an all-around weird thing with good results. And she did like the lion once she calmed down and understood he wasn't going to try and eat her. ]
Would it be easier if I shared mine to you?
no subject
[Make a big enough scene and it would catch anyone's attention riiiiight.]
I think that would be easier. Thank you!
no subject
[That's usually how that works. Though no more lube paws ever please.]
Absolutely. And you should have them now.
[Her coordinates should show on his screen a short time later if he follows them it leads to Cafe Lupin on level 2.]
no subject
[Off to Level 2 it is. Except Mike has a terrible attention span and everything along the way is so shiny. All in all his journey takes 15 minutes longer than it should have given the distance. At least Mike looks a little apologetic when he pokes his head through the door.]
Hello? I've got a special delivery here!
no subject
[When he arrives Ann is seated at the bar a cup of coffee before her as soft jazzy music plays. It's not Leblanc but Ren has done a good job with the place atmosphere wise.
She turns in her seat when she hears the door and smiles when she spots the blonde peeking in. Sliding out of her seat she heads toward the door.]
Hey. Do you want to sit in the lounge or the counter?
no subject
Hey there! What a chic cafe this is. There's even a lounge? That sounds like it's worth checking out.
[Mike looks left-right. Way too willing to sniff out said lounge before Ann can show him. If only he can figure out where's off limits and where isn't.]
no subject
[Ann just laughs amused by his antics, and motions to the lounge off to the side of the restaurant to take pity on him. Honestly, she isn't even sure that there are off-limits areas. At home she and her friends pretty much had the run of the cafe they met in, but Ren actually seems to use the place as what it's meant to be so...as long as they stay out of the kitchen and out from behind the bar they should be okay.]
Pick a seat and I'll get us something to drink.

[Mike crosses one leg underneath the other and holds onto that ankle for balance. He's making himself feel right at home on one of those lavish corner sofas. It hasn't gone unnoticed that he's been invited without invitation to hang around a bit after the cake delivery. Sweet, he won't say no to hospitality! So his curious gaze bounces around the room while Mike waits for Ann to come back. The lighting and ambience? He's a fan of it.
He doesn't keep track of the time that passes. But he does perk up and slide the cake slice across the table in her direction when she does return.]
That friend of yours must be a real promising entrepreneur.
[He smiles impishly.]
Was the lube dispensary a side business?
no subject
She's carrying two coffee cups and a fork when she goes to join him. Her cup from the bar and fork in one hand and a fresh one for Mike in the other when she sets them on the low table and settles on the couch next to him. Shoving a pigtail over her shoulder Ann glances at the ]slice of cake a wide grin splitting her face.]
He learned from one of the best. This looks so good.
[She rolls her eyes and digs into the cake chewing before answering.]
Wow. I've had a lot of cake but this is sooo good. His lube dispensary was good for when you were stuck, but it was one of those things he did because he can. I think he got a second drum just to swim in it.
no subject
It's very kind that Ann has thought to bring him a coffee. It looks just lovely too. Although he is going to get "the zoomies" if he's not careful. Because he's already being energized by the pleasant company and all. C'est la vie! Mike cups the mug with both hands so he can take a sip. Taking it black, surprisingly, given his bright and cutesy appearance. ]
Oh, careful now, or you'll make me blush. [A coy chuckle.] But thank you!
[Then an actual laugh as her words register properly.]
To swim in it? Really? That's a little eccentric. But who am I to nay say it? But I take it that you didn't join in on that endeavor.
no subject
She could have gotten him juice. But coffee is part of Cafe Lupin the way it was Leblanc back home so it seems weird to not give Mike coffee while there. But it's good stuff, so he should sip with care if he's trying to avoid getting overly energetic. She doesn't comment on his drinking it black though, her own cup being much the same.]
Oh no we couldn't have that. [When was the last time she could just joke with someone? It feels like it's been ages.] I only speak the truth.
[She nods]
More like I was trying to talk him out of all the insane things he and our friend were talking about doing with the second barrel they were getting. They're good guys but sometimes I wonder what goes through their head wanting to make a giant waterslide with the stuff, complete with loop-de-loop. You know?
