[It's early morning, and the video shows a middle-aged Texan standing sleepily in his bathroom as he runs his hand over his bushy beard in front of the mirror. He strokes it one more time and looks at himself, vague circles under his eyes and all, then looks to the camera.]

Should I shave this thing? What do y'all think?

[He turns towards the camera proper now, gesturing to his beard.]

I've had the beard 'bout two years now. Between home and Lunatia... at LEAST longer than here. Most of you newer, younger folks probably wouldn't remember, though, much less seen my mug 'round here.

[He flashes a lazy grin. He also picks up a well-kept straight razor from off-camera, just to mimic the motion of shaving against his cheek. Then, after huffing a wheezy laugh at himself, he puts it down and reaches to turn off the video.]

Everyone, I have a dire announcement to make.

[ Konoka's got her hands steepled, meaning only her face and arms are visible. You might see cuffs on her arms or maybe some sort of costume? But her face looks grim as she settles from turning on the video. ]

Due to the connection between Geistnacht and the fell beast of Gluttony, Ainfeil, all candy based celebrations have been cancelled.

[ She manages to hold on to her grim face for at least 30 more seconds before she winds up bursting into giggles. ]

Okay, I was just kidding!

[ She giggles for a while longer before straightening out. She is wearing a witch-like costume, including a witch's hat. ]

Though to be honest, I'm not sure what the Prismals will do this year for Halloween... or as it's locally known, Geistnacht. We may very well have to watch out for Ainfeil himself close to the end of the month.

Oh! I should probably step back a bit for anyone who's new. I'm Konoka Konoe. I've been gathering up a history of everything that's been going on with this planet as it relates to the Calamity that hit it a long time ago, and the beasts that caused it. You can see what I've got so far here.

I've been Sanguis for almost a year, but last month that changed and it's terrible. It's just more than a week of being unable to fully concentrate on anything.
