[The video opens to Fish awake, sitting up in what seems to be their bed. Their dressing gown is on, at least. It's late at night in Lunatia-- give or take about 3am. And if your volume is up high enough, you might catch the sound of... someone? being very busy the next room over. Fish looks pretty concerned.]

Ah... hello.

[This is awkward.]

It's been a while since I've used this to address the whole network but... I was wondering how people deal with... ah... cats?

[And there's the sound of a door busting open and a blur of violet getting in the way of the camera and Fish and the suggestion that the merfolk threw their hand up so as to save the communicator from getting knocked over.]

Molly what--?

Ignore me, I'm just sneaking in here.

Wait, I can't--

Yeah, it's fine, just let me crawl in here.

I'm on the communicator.

Great. I don't wanna talk I just wanna sit...

[Rustle rustle.]

Perfect.

[A pause of silence.]

Continue, I'm comfortable now.

[The communicator comes down again, a little closer to Fish's face this time, they look defeated. But there's a very content, lavender-skinned, heavily tattooed tiefling on them, their tail swishing lazily and making a mess of the video a bit.]

I guess now you all know what I need... ah... a bit of advice on. Sorry, I'll get to replying to any answers later. It isn't the easiest having a lap full of cat-like tiefling.

[They huff and grin before turning the feed off.]

[Fish will take that laughter, it was absolutely well-deserved. They snort. This reply comes a little later in the morning when Molly actually is up and chinhandsing at a dancing light doing little tricks in front of him, like writing out his name in fine cursive.]

Oh, you're telling me. I don't even think Molly's domesticated.

[Or at least this version of Molly isn't. It's so funny. But Fish doesn't have the heart to be hard on him at all.]

[ Connie smiles again, amused and happy that Fish seems so fond of Molly even when the other tiefling is being a brat. Or, you know, a cat. ]

Does he get like this every time?

[freshtilapia]

Actually, this is my first time seeing him this way. He's seen me a lot during my Iris cycle, but I've never seen him during Cordis until now. He's such a brat this way...

[Fish sighs, defeated.]

But he's also so cute. I don't know what to do with him...

Cordis was different from Iris, right? Hmm... what does he say when you talk to him about it?

[ Because... you did talk to him about it, right? Are you guys communicating? ]

[freshtilapia]

Ah. I... tried? I guess?

[Fish looks pretty uneasy.]

... but he was so pretty, I couldn't find it in me to talk to him about it.

[Code for Fish was too distracted so they just got frisky with Molly instead.]

I don't know much about relationships, but maybe at least tell him he's making a mess?

[ Connie isn't too sure, though. He doesn't want Molly to be mad at Fish or vice-versa. ]

[Fish sighs. They didn't want to, but they had to say something at some point, even if Yasha was coming over to help them deal with him.]

I'll try.

[Fish says the words with some resolve. But the last time they did try to speak to Molly about it, they fell under his intoxicating scent. It was very possible that it would happen again.]

Okay! If... if anything, it shouldn't go on for too long, right?

[ Thankfully, the moons didn't seem to go on for more than a few days. ]

Yeah... I'm sure it won't. It's just a little trouble now, but Molly will be back to normal in time.

I'd probably have mixed feelings about it, though. I really enjoy how he wants me in this state. And he gets sad when I leave him alone.

[Fish speaks as if they're absolutely head over heels in love-- or absolutely doting on their pet cat.]

[ Connie smiles softly at that, looking fond. ]

You really love him so much. I guess you can handle a few pillows for a while if he's being cute?

[freshtilapia]

Connie, sweetheart... you have no idea.

["So much" doesn't quite cut it when Fish feels as if they had found the love of their life in this one tiefling. It's an indescribable feeling. But if one thing was for certain, it was hard to imagine life without him now.]

A few pillows, a little mess in the kitchen, all my blankets out on the bed... I suppose I can handle all that.

I'm so happy for you, Fish.

[ His voice is full of warmth and softness, and he looks very fond. He's never really met someone that was so obviously in love before, and it's really sweet. ]

...wait, you're aquatic, right? I hope he doesn't get to cat-like.

[freshtilapia]

Hm? What did you mean by that, sweetheart?

[wildsorcery]

Cats like eating fish, right? I hope he doesn't bite or something. How bad can the moon be on people's minds?

[freshtilapia]

Funny, another friend of mine told me that fish aren't good for cats. But I'm not sure how affected Molly exactly is by this moon cycle.

Well, I'm sure he's not gonna eat you!

Oh honey, he'll have his mouth full of me one way or another.

[ ...oh gosh, now he's laughing ]

The only way anyone would enjoy being eaten!
