[ A break from your regularly scheduled Sanguis in the late afternoon of July 1. On video is an almost naked JJ - standing much taller than normal, scales crawling over his arms and to his face, with curved horns. He's dressed in an oversized t-shirt that says I'm Not Perfect, But I'm Canadian. So close enough.

He's holding up a Canadian flag, which he got from god knows where, and it's mostly hiding that he's actually clothed today. He's grinning stupidly, fangs and all. His voice sounds just a little different thanks to being exalted, though he sounds quite cheerful. The background? His kitchen. Clean but there's definitely a lot of baked goods even in view. ]

Happy Canada Day! If I were home today, I'd be eating my mom's berry pie and watching fireworks. I could probably find some fireworks, and I am great at baking, but nothing is as good as mom's, I guess.

That being said I made way too many sweets and I can't eat them all, so if anyone wants some baked goods, they're free to a good home. Just drop your info and I'll have them delivered to you. I have a few different variety of pies, some Nanaimo bars, that sort of thing.

If you don't want sweets, tell me about a food you're missing from home.

Oh, I have someone over, so that's the main reason I was going to do deliveries. Sanguis isn't a big deal. I know some people have problems with theirs, that's pretty courteous of you.

[ ...Really? He talks like it's no problem, but sometimes it is. Not that he's super perceptive of the problems, and that's fine. ]

Umm. The berry pies aren't too sweet, depending on the berry. Raspberry especially.

Oh. Yeah! I got pretty lucky and made friends with a couple of Prismals and had it made. It's pretty genius right? Seemed like the bare minimum for celebrating today!

Butter tarts. Some are classic, but I even made some with some chocolate chips. They're pretty sweet, slightly runny treats. Did you want to try one? [ grins ]

Born and raised in Canada. I mean, I travel a lot because of competitions, so I've been a lot of places, but I love my home.

[ Ah. Wow. Generous. He is ok with eating Literally anything, but after tasting fruit, eating things like raw meat just don't hold as much appeal. The appeal is there, just less. ]

[ While America was gathering his supplies, JJ hung up his flag, got Makoto home, and generally cleaned up around his place, making sure any of the free treats were out and about and ready. He has a lot of energy, JJ notes, and he likes that. It's someone fun to hang out with and enjoy. But the knock -

that gets him to focus away from his organization and he heads right to the door. He's still fully dressed for summer, in his t-shirt from earlier and black shorts that hit his knees.

His flesh is significantly covered in scales and he takes up the full doorway (having gained some height in the process, this Sanguis) when he opens the door. ]
