I heard that Lunatia has a fight club. Or it did, once.

[A rather pointy smile begins to spread across his lips as he pauses for effect.]

[It's starting to get alarming, just how many people here assume he's human. He's so used to everyone steering clear the moment they see his parasol up in daylight. This pattern of complete ignorance is a bit of a blow to his pride. His smile tightens.]

I guess that's not ... not true. It doesn't seem like the most efficient way to pay the bills, but now I'm too distracted picturing coins popping out of people during a fight like a video game to do the math.

if you have to protect your fighters from real fights, you must not be very confident in their abilities. is your fight club that weak, or is it just you?

We're talking about two different things. You can have a real fight without murdering someone at the end. If you can agree to those terms, I'll tell you where we meet.

[Oh, he hates smug guys like this and really hopes this mysterious fight club appears to kick his ass. He's sorely tempted to take up that mantle, but he's got to remember that Sanguis is influencing him. It's not totally his fault. ]

[Hijikata is so goddamn alarmed when he sees Kamui's post while absently checking the network, and moments later he's so goddamn relieved when he sees '76' among the people responding. He isn't online much, but at least gleaned that the man 1) runs the fight club and 2) knows what he's doing, so that takes the immediate problem off Hijikata's hands and allows him to do what any good Sanguis cop would do: turn a blind eye to the whole thing. (This is why they call them tax thieves back home).

More importantly - or, okay, maybe not more importantly, but not completely unimportantly: did no one take that Yato brat by the hand and teach him the basic functions of being a productive member of society in the, what, two months since Hijikata first ran into him?! Evidently not. Is this seriously going to be his responsibility?! Why does nobody else ever step it up?! He decides to just ask the first question that actually comes to his mind.]

How are you still alive? Aren't you running out of chroma?

[Seriously, how did the boy manage to sustain himself if he only ever fought people?! And looking at those (admittedly adorable) ears he's a Sanguis, too... that's pretty much the worst moonblessing this absolute menace could have ended up with.]
